Ya the thing with TOEFL...Actually I was not aware that TOEFL is such a big deal..but fortunately I took IELTS and it seems I am saved unlike some of my friends who dint take either of the exams. But the downside is I cant apply to Columbia, Fordham ----especially fin colleges...
Any suggestions for my condition...I can take TOEFL in Nov and can only apply in R2 for these 2 schools.

Well, it really depends on your situation. Considering that you have already taken GMAT and IELTS, you won't have to prepare at all for the TOEFL. You can pay the $35 fine and take the TOEFL on the earliest date.

Besides, the Columbia website says "You may be exempted from the TOEFL or the PTE if you have earned a degree from an institution based in a country in which English is the primary official language and at which the official language of instruction is English"

Primary or not, English is our official language. And if you have done your undergrad in English you should just go ahead and ask for a TOEFL waiver.

Hey, you are from Pune too! pm me your contact number. See on the 8th then

TOEFL is not required for Duke. It is a must though, for Columbia, as they have specifically mentioned it on their site that Indians have to submit their TOEFL scores as English is not the official language of India :wow:

Sincere apologies, I missed that part.

hello guys

Does Duke work on a rolling admission system?
I can see on the website that the results of 1st round will be out by 1st February.
But will it declare results only on 1st February or it will start declaring results before that & will complete declaring by 1st Feb

Thanks !
