With CAT-12 coming to an end today, we hope that each one of you has given your best and aced the test.
Most of you would have already started to look at various options available to reach your dream B-School.
Via this thread we would try to address any of your queries regarding Admissions for 2013-15 at Department of Management Studies, IIT Madras.
Some of the important key points for admissions are as follows:
1. Alike previous year, DoMS, IIT Madras will continue taking CAT scores this year as part of its selection process.
2. Good news for all Non-Engineers out there, starting this year DoMS, IIT Madras will accept applications from Graduates in any discipline with first class or 60% marks earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed university.
Feel free to ask any admission related queries that you have.

However, Please note that this was only one part of the admission process.
Final Selection of the candidate depended upon various other factors including overall Profile of the candidate,SOP,Group Task, Personal interview.

There is no news as of now from admissions department about commencement of application process.Last year it opened after CAT result were announced.
However, we would let you know as soon as we get any info about this.

Hi,
Interview calls are only on the basis of CAT Score. During Final selection due weight-age is given on academics as well as on SOP,Group Task, Personal interview etc. But we are not authorised to disclose the weight-age on public forum.

As of now, an information session is being held at IIT Madras campus regarding the admissions in MBA at IIT Madras on 29th December,2012.Its a good chance to know about the admissions in IIT Madras MBA, interact with some students and faculty (and also visit the beautiful IIT M Campus

The link for the application form as well as all the information regarding filling and submission of the forms would be provided on the DoMS,IIT Madras website once the window opens(the link for the website has been provided in earlier posts).
As of now, an information session is being held at IIT Madras campus regarding the admissions in MBA at IIT Madras on 29th December,2012.Its a good chance to know about the admissions in IIT Madras MBA, interact with some students and faculty (and also visit the beautiful IIT M Campus

First class in required for IITs,
I think you have it, and Cut off for the last year was around 94%tiles.
Rest depends on you 😃
