Posting this on behalf of my friend.
I have cleared SBI JA 2016 and I have been working in a remote village in Tamil Nadu for more or less a month now. I have also been shortlisted for IBPS PO interview and my interview is on Feb 2nd. Today I asked the Chief Manager in my branch for a No Objection Certificate (which according to my understanding is mandatory for the interview for those who are working in govt. undertaken companies) but he and a HR manager refused to give me the No Objection Certificate for me and 3 others who are working with me. The managers in my branch are saying that NOC is not required since we work in SBI which is also a public sector bank. My doubt is, can I really attend the interview without NOC? If not what do I do now? Any suggestions would be very helpful.

Please help guys..I am working in a PSB as a clerk but they are not providing me NOC for the interview as i didnt take permission for giving the examination earlier..because at that time i hadn't joined this organisation but i have ticked the column in the appication form with yes which asked that whether working in a PSB or not as at the time of filling the form i was working in another PSB as a PO.Should i tell the people in the interview panel that i m working as a clerk but i dnt have NOC as i joined the bank after my written examination.?
In application form I have written engineering as subject instead of electronics and communication engineering . Will this create any problem? If it will create any problem then what should I do. @RaceCar @aviswati @vivekkapoor494
Freinds ,is there any possibility for changing IBPS interview date, as i have another exam on the same day? please help....
so,out of 29000 voters,45% (14000+) have said that their no. of attempts in ibps po mains is more than 100....so even if we eliminate half of them (and i'm being generous here to the ones below 100) its still 7000+........is anyone predicting the cutoff now?

Friends please help me out. I cleared IBPS PO mains as well as I have scored decent in railway ntpc mains. I am sure of clearing Ibps PO as well as getting ASM post in railway. Which one is better out of the two? Which one should I choose? For good salary , job satisfaction, less workload ? In long term?
