Hello mitron !! First of all i wud like to congratulate each one of you ( including me ) for clearing ibps po mains .. now the newcomers are anxious of the manner in which there interviews are going to be held. At this juncture i consider myself as an example from which you can learn something. Now lets understand my journey so far... I cleared last year ibps mains with 101.5 marks in online exam and as the rule is for the last 2 years ibps didnt declare our marks before completion of interview. When i was done with my interview i came to know my marks. Although we knew the cut off well before the interview but it was my mains score which gave me the biggest relief. doston ne kaha kaan me tel daalkar so jaao bcoz i had 25.5 marks more than the cut off and it was very safe marks. All i needed was to score just average marks in interview (10 out of 20). MAGAR PICTURE ABHI BAAKI THI...) My interview was on 28 jan at bank of india campus ( noida ). My teporting time was 1 pm and i had reached the venue half an hour before. There were around 70% candidates who were btech engineers (me also but i mujhe is baat ka garv kabhi nahi raha ). The organisers composed a group of 25 students and the made us seated in a comfortable room. Then they took 3 of us each time and instructed them to seat in from of room where intervies were being conducted. My no was 8 th and almost 45 minutes my name was called. Interviewers were ringing a bell and it was a form of intimation for the next candidate to come in the room. So, ring bell and it was my term to come in. Ab yahan se aaplog dhyan se padhna or meri galtiyan dekhna. I entere the room. There were five persons in a row with head of the group at center. There was a lady also with her fifties. The youngest was of around 35 years and all others were in ther fifties. I greeted them with a very tensed face ( mistake one ). Main unke bina bole hi chair pe lagbhag baith gaya tha fir yaad aaya to aadha jhook kar fir khada ho gaya ( and at that moment my story had been written) . The head asked me to sit and told me-" apne baare me kuch batao ". I introduced my self in english but all questions were asked in hindi and so i answered in hindi as well. Ek question aaya k btech k baad job kyon nahi ki or mera jawab unko satisfy nahi kar paya ( mistake 2). They asked me about ecgc as it was my first preference. 2 qstn puchhe ecgc se , ek aata tha ek nahi ( mistake 3, you should have all knowledge about your first preference.) Then they asked me about wholesale banking and didderence between wholesale banking and corporate banking. I answred correctly the definition of wholesale banking but got stuck when explaining difference btwn wholesale and corporate banking and dono ki khichdi bana di (mistake 4) ek or badi galti hui . Ye wholesale banking waala sawaal ek south indian sir ne puchha tha and his voive was not audible as he spoke in a very low voice. I had to say pardon two times ( mistake 5 and it was a very big mistake. Be alert in interview) . They asked me two more question from banking which i cant recall at this moment and i am sorry for that. My last question was asked by the head and it was " artificial intellegence ki definintion kya hai " iska answer mujhe pata tha but maine hoshiyari jhaadne k chakkar me AI ka use banking industry me batana chalu kar diya. He was annoyed at me and said that he was asking me definition. I just told the definition and was told that my interview had been over. Maine head sir ko thanks kaha or baaki interviewers ko dekhe bina wapas ho gaya. That was the end of my interview!! Us din to laga k interview thik thaak hi gaya hai or i may get atleast 12 marks. Lekin 1 april aaya or mujhe mile 8.8 yaani 44 marks. My total marks were 49.4 and 49.9 was the final cut off. Reserved list 49.4 yaani mere marks se 49.9 tak thi. If i had got even 47 marks out of 100 then i would have been po 6 months ago. This post was not to demorlize any one of you. Actually i just want you to know the inportance of even 1 mark in interview. Jo galtiyaan maine ki wo aap mat karna. Ek baat or k jis din aapka interview ho us week ki important news jarur padh lena. Mera artificial intellegence waala question us week k news me tha. Cut off prediction is a very uncertain but my 6 th sense in saying that its going to be 66. ALL THE BEST !!!! Friends, Pls tell me one thing, mera mains zyada accha ni gaya tha although i have been selected but mje nhi h confidence mere final selection ka . Kindly tell me one thing that agr cutoff se 5 number upar aate h and interview accha jata h to kya selection ka chance banta h?
