Bank Po is worst government job. I have worked as po for 7 months and what I realize in these 7 months is that this job is worst of the worst. PO have to work for long hours. I go to bank daily at 10 am and leave bank at 8 pm. I work also in saturdays and sundays. Any customer can say you anything. If cheque book is not delivered in time then its HQ fault but a PO have to listen from customer. Customer, Branch Manager, Your seniors, Zonal Office everone can insult a PO but a PO can not do anything. Customer is god and you can't do anything but get insulted by them. Work is monotonous and boring. you have to do same kind of stuff for long hours. Work is very degrading and a 10th pass can also do the work a PO is doing. Work is very risky and sometimes you have to cover that mistake from your pocket. Salary is not good. Even a 4200 gp will be nearly equal to a po salary. Transfer policy is also not good. I have seen in my training people from bengal getting posted in rural areas of maharashtra and people from bihar getting posted in south india. I don't want to demoralize anyone. In this age of competition becoming even peon is not easy. But I wanted you all to know what are the condition of work in bank po. people comparing clerk with po are new kind of idiots. Bank po is far better than clerk.
P.S. My brother is lecturer in a govt college. we both got job at the same time. A lot of my relative friends neighbour and teachers said that lecturer is a very good job but I will have a better lifestyle and career. People will respect me. But after one year we all realize what are the condition. My brother salary is 55k, will increase after state govt implement the 7th pay. He have to work only 3-4 hours and will rarely get transferred.ue

PO mai zyada workload hai, public dealing karna hai, zyada growth rate with lot of perks, transfers toh hai (kabhi bura location bhi ho sakta hai)
Assistant / Clerk ka responsibility kam hai, tension free hai lekin aap logon ko slow growth rate, 'officer' tag ka respect nahi milta hai, transfers usually aapke states mai

Last mai yahi hai baat karunga "Sirf kaam kam hai isliye job clerk/assistant select na kare". Agar hum log (Youth as a future of India) kaam kam paisa zyada chahte hai toh mere hisab se hamare desh aage nahi badega..
Vishesh tippani RBI Assistant ke liye - RBI ek aisa organization hai ki usme aap ko 'knowledge' ke liye bahut importance diya jata hai..Facilities is liye diye jate hai ki aap aaramse padh sako, skills ya higher degree le sako..So agar aapko firse RBI GradeB/UPSC tayyari karni hai toh h sahi hai. RBI ki brand hai islye job mat lijiye agar aap us brand ko aur uncha na karne ki himmat rakhe ho
