How to fill preference According to vacancy or headquarters?
Irrespective of the order of preferences, if one got selected for any of the participating banks, where would be the posting for them? 1. Directly out of home state 2. Bank head quarter state 3. Initially for some years in their home state Please give your opinion...

One thing I don't know why people aren't filling bob in their pref list in top preferences .... I mean it's a big name and growth chances are high .... I know there is no vacancies in bob but it's just a tentative list, they will release final vacancies after mains or may be after interview .... even if bob doesn't recruit than also there is no harm in putting it in list because allotment is ranked based. Bob me vacancy Nahi bhi hua to bob KO skip karke niche wale bank KO consider kar lenge .... but if bob recruit then you will regret .... no discussions πππ thanx ππ

Top five banks in terms of assets Β 1)BOB 2) BOI 3) PNB 4) Canara 5) Union bank of India .So these banks should be in your top preferences if you guys really want to make carrier in the banking sector.Merger is also an important factor.Also join banking if you guys are determined to stay long.Investment is better than trading jumping from one job to another Β is also like trading you will lose something which will not be beneficial for you in the longer run .Be determined for whatever you want to achieve.All the best for upcoming bankers and do make fruitful decisions choice is all yours.

Hi all, i am selected in IBPS PO 5 this year in Vijaya bank and waiting for my joining,since the PO 6 windows have opend now, just thought to share what you should fill as your first 3 preferences , it's all my personal views ,this specialy apply for north indian guys and girls
1)PNB (only 1 drawback it gives joining late as per its past record)
2)PUNJAB AND SIND BANK(PSB)
3)OBC
the reason behind is simple,these banks have more or less business base in north india only and except PNB the bond amount in OBC amnd PSB is less i guess around 25k(just recheck it once from your side),so in case if you leave the bank for RBI,NABARD etc that will not hurt you unless other banks which have bond of 2 lakhs

Well i have filled idbi as no 1 choice and no one is filling it as first choice...if i score marks equal to cutoff in final merit list...then i ll be alloted idbi or some other bank.
