Hi Guys,
This is my first post in PagalGuy . I have been following the forum for more than a month.
I'll keep it short and sweet and please bear with my silly questions if any.
Took GMAT today and highly disappointed with 550 (Q42, V24) [though I like palindrome's but I will hate that one for my whole life
]
I have been preparing for GMAT over a couple of months and these have been my mock scores -
MGMAT1 - 650 (Q47,V32)
MGMAT2 - 640 (Q47,V31)
MGMAT3 - 700 (Q47,V32)
MGMAT4 - 660 (Q43,V37)
MGMAT5 - 710 (Q48,V38)
MGMAT6 - 680 (Q48,V34)
GMAT Prep 2.1.79 -
Exam 1 - 610 (Q49,V23)
Exam 2 - 640 (Q48,V30)
All above with AWA and IR
MGMAT5, MGMAT6 and GMAT Prep 2 were the recent ones before the exam.
Materials Followed - OG12, OG10, Manhattan - SC,RC & CR Guides, SC Grail and Powerscore Bible for CR
Definitely reappearing in a couple of months
I have some quick questions now -
1. I never had such terrible score in any of my mocks and specially V24 is disgusting looking at my mocks. Though it is said that GMAT Prep are the closest to the actual exam but there also I scored at least 600+. I admit that I got little nervous in my maths section but didn't expect Q42 in rarest of my dreams. So what should be the strategy now, should I stick to my material and dissect my weak points using the same material or any extra resources will help ???
2. I had seen somewhere in the forum that members were getting lower score than MGMAT's so now the doubt comes on the credibility of these exams, should I purchase some more of these or look out elsewhere ??
3. Very basic query about re-taking GMAT. When we apply for the first time with new score to any of the schools, which were also chosen to be sent the GMAT scores in earlier exams. The school admin people also take the previous scores into consideration ??
Please Respond.. Need some quick feedback to make my strategy for the next exam.
Many Thanks !!

Thanks Parveen, I am good in quants, though I admit that I got nervous in maths section.
But the problem with verbal is that it's not easy to evaluate whether you are doing well or not while you are giving test. I felt I was doing good in verbal on my exam day and I felt confident about my answers too. I believe there's something fundamental is missing so I need to start from very basic altogether.
For quant I just need to have a good temperament in addition to practice.
Thanks for replying.
