Going off topic here,
What all are the profiles for which a civil engineer fresher can apply for non engineering start-ups.
I have been applying to a lot of start-ups lately but none seem to respond beyond 1 phone call.
I don't have experience, nor web designing experience or android development for that matter or even any side course on analytics or data mining. My domain is civil engineering which hardly has any start-ups in it.
When I do get a call, the person on the other side is like, what exactly do you want to do with us?
Candidates who opted for CAT 2014....can anyone help me with marks(out of 300) vs percentile relation i.e how much marks are needed to score above 90%...thanks!!!!

For a candidate with below average profile (X/XII/BE/work - 82/69/69/40 months) how difficult would it be to justify a gap of around 13-14 months?
PS- talking for colleges like MDI, NITIE and all only.
Scored 97.25 this year, could convert IMT-G, but not sure about joining it. Might go for CAT'15 with higher B-schools as target. Hence asking this question.

How would you rank Department of Business Economics, DU? With regards to MBA courses.

Also if someone can tell me how big difference would it make if someone from IMT and a college like MDI, NITIE joins the same company ? Would they be ranked on the basis of their performace or would there be a differentiation between them in the long run as well ?
I am currently jobless. The best option right now is IFMR famous mainly for finance but I am not sure about whether I would take up finance. Moreover it's ranked pretty low everywhere except TIME. Also, waitlisted in GIM which will not clear (high chance) and awaiting Welingkar's result. So should I go for IFMR or consider Welingkar or get a job and take CAT 15?
