Here are the ones which were solved there by a stud.

My mother and I went to the lion's house with an unmarried women.- 6 letters.

Ans: MAIDEN ---> Mother -- Ma
I-----I
Lion's house--> Den
Unmarried woman------> Maiden

Stay Cool in parent's absence as their responsibility is substituted by someone else. (2,4,8 )

cool in parent's is anagram for the answer which is defined in the later part of the sentence.

Ans: In Loco Parentis


Here's the one he couldn't:

"He snarled at the public disrepute he was put to".--> 7 letters.

Haven't been able to ace that.
Pretty decent with quick clues.
