Hi,

Any body considering Cranfield MBA? I am from Investment Banking sector and couldn't find much details about its reach and placement in IB. My profile

GMAT: 720
Work ex: 3 yrs (IB)
Acads: 80%+ through out.

Can anybody please pour in some info abt Cranfield with respect to IB?

Thanks,

Cranfield MBA is for older applicants (age 30+) with considerable work experience. Normally they take people with about 8 years exp. It is strong in strat. I understand that for finance/IB, it offers an M Sc in Fin and Banking. Have a look at these

hope this helps

I am also planning for cranfield. GMAT 740. 4yrs of work ex in automobile sectore by this year end.
good acads and extra curriculars.
Dopeople with around 4 yrs of work ex stand a chance.

How is cranfield wrt to general management function and manufacturing industry.

GM and industry are its core strengths. They have rolling adms so the earlier u apply, the better. Schols are awarded in end Jan though. No idea about 4 yrs exp. Cranfield site has a feature where u can submit your particulars for an assessment of your eligibility, Try that, they reply in 24 h.
hope this helps

Going by the current age group of the batch and the focus of Cranfield, I would say it would fit people with about 6+ years of experience more than younger students. Remember Cranfield focuses on personal development and does not focus on making specialists (even though there are very good elective modules).

Dear skvignesh, I was told that HSBC at Milton Keynes gives loans to cranfield admits at a reduced rate. Is that correct and if true, how do I go about applying a loan from here in India.
thanks

Hi cjanoam,

skvignesh is at my place for our kitchen party... And he does not even know that I am responding to a query meant for him:)

Anyways, HSBC's studies loan is actually one of the key attractions of cranfield - ease of loan availability, highly reduced rates of interest (about 3.25%), etc. Many of current Indian students, including me, have taken HSBC loan. Now the bad news - they are currently reviewing their students loan policy and may or may not continue with this arrangement for cranfield - blame the recession. However, cranfield is still in discussion with them and we only hope to see some positive results.

Keep looking at Indian banks as many Indian students have availed that too + Credila is another source.

All the best for your application!!!

Which other schools are you applying to? Because with the brief profile you mentioned above, you stand a very good chance at some of the Top 20 B-Schools.

Folks... I had the interview yesterday and got the acceptance email this morning! I am through.....
My profile -
GMAT - 690
Work Ex - 7 years in IT Management

congrats a.kumar. I think we will be class mates at cranfield. anything on scholarship

Hi pals,
I got an admit from Cranfield too and have recieved the mail for hostel accomodation as well.
However, i have also gotten thru CEIBS at Shanghai and now I am in a dilemma.

Shanghai will have language issues while London has sizeable Indian population (after college I gotta wrk abroad to repay loans). to add to this, there is this language barrier in Shanghai. BUT, CEIBS is ranked way higher and has same visiting faculty as ISB (Wharton, Kelloggs etc)

Can anyone please advise?
thanks

Saurabh,
I agree with Bhavya on this. CEIBS is a good college too. So try and talk to as many alumns possible. Also, check the courses / electives that they offer. You never know, it might help you decide.

I've an interview scheduled with Mr. Rickard with a written assessment. Can anyone throw some light on what to expect?

Thanks much!

Hello,

I have recieved a interview invite as well from Cranfield for the last week of jan. Have also been asked to prepare a 2-3 mins presentation on a assigned topic..Did anyone go thru the same drill?

Hi,

I have received the confirmation from Cranfield today. Excited as expected.
I received a lot of information from this forum. Without it I wouldn't have been able to make it to Cranfield. Thanks everybody. I would be more than happy to try to answer any question anybody might have on admission.

Wishing everybody all the best and happy christmas.

Thanks,
Sushanta.

Sushanta,

It will be really helpful if you can share your interview experience and the kind of assessment that you had to prepare for the interview: presentation/written.
