The Indian schools have very interesting ratings. I am opening a new thread because I could not locate an active and relevant thread in this section.

Let me be the first one to thank you. This list is really gonna help me deciding B schools. Thanks a lot. great work!!

Well that depends on perception doesn't it?? And unfortunately you still haven't posted anything useful and still haven't learnt the art of not being juvenile.

Kyon beechare ki maar rahe ho yaar
I think this was very useful. But I would advice you to make the choice based on other criteria:
(a) 1yr v/s 2yr programs - opportunity costs, shift in career path etc.
(b) Employment opportunities/Visa status after graduation for international students
(c) Working visas for spouse
Arun
PS: Edited to add
(d) Beer on campus
(e) Females
(f) Available Females
(g) Unavailable Females but maybe available sometime during the 2yrs after breaking up with their boyfriends
(h) Ability to bunk classes
etc. etc.
are obviously very high up on the average bachelor's mind but never a part of any "serious" study
(c) Working visas for spouse

In ur case hw do u Correlate the 'C' factor with 'E'&'F' for a viable judgement

Kyon fassa rahe ho yaar
I would say (C) is inversely proportional to the applicability of (E) & (F) in my case
Bhavnaaon ko samjho yaar

I am trying to go through the details of how exactly they went ahead in doing this rating but still not having a single school is disheartening... May be everyone else in the world (including my fellow pagals) knows about this already.... but this is definitely new to me... Very bad...:wow:
Any ideas???
Jokes apart, Herewith I am attaching the list of top 100 global B-schools. I was really shocked to see that there is not a single school from India. For all the hype and hoopla about our so-called "world class" business educators, I really dont understand if I missing something.

That also begs another question, why the hell should I choose Indian schools given the fact that none of them truly measure upto world class and have a nerve wracking entrance test called the CAT
Instead I can choose to take up GMAT and try to align my career and skillsets with any of the top 100 schools listed in that file? huh... ???
egg-jactly.... as javed would say..
Caveat: i am not a hindi movie fan.. so don't treat me as one.

Go to any of the top 100 schools as you call them, and im sure you will have to use the phrase "Would you like fries with that" more than once in your post MBA career.

Thought it appropriate to post the article links here...
1) An MBA in Italy? You must be joking!
2) The n-e-w MBA destination!
3) 11 scholarship options for the UK

The way I read the ranks of IIMs is that they have not mastered the art of playing the ranking game(some of it due to lack of autonomy) just like people like me couldn't master the art of test taking 😃 IIMs have a great advantage of getting some of the brightest people in the world sit in their classrooms but beyond that they have a lot of work to do(some of that is impossible with the red tape that binds them right now)
hi Ketan/Others
I would really really advise you to avoid Italy right now. worst possible country in Europe right now to study in. Hopeless economy. leaders admit so themselves now. secondly, average age in univ is now approaching 29. cause there are no jobs and ppl want to take refuge in higher education.but even that is not working. Italian univs are anyway overcrowded. FACT. they are now called the free parking lots for a desperate generation.
Thirdly, Italy is in a place (Europe) where there is a definate tilt towards locals in industry. reasons may be genuine but that is the case. and couple this with the local industrial disarray - you are stuck man..
wud really advise not to go in for such a place if you have options.

All your points seem extremely plausible. I agree. Can you provide us with some news article or statistics to validate the same ?
Arun

nopes. sorry. they put the free articles under premium content after a period of about 15 days.
Maybe you could just search around on Google?

I trust you and your points made a lot of sense. It was obviously through some reading you might have done. I just wanted you to point us to those sources.
