Hi,
Could not find a thread to post scores of proc mock 9 of CL.
Please post your scores/test experience etc. in this thread.

Section DescriptionTotal AttemptTotal CorrectScore

QA&DI-----------------------19-------------14--------------; 37
VA&LR-----------------------21-------------14--------------; 35
Total Score72
My observation:
Cut-off in QA should be 36-39 and in VA 36-39.
90+ would be required for at least one IIM Call.

Sec 1 18A 15C 3W -> 42
Sec 2 25A 16C 9W -> 39

Total 43A 31C 12W -> 81

Sec 1 was fairly doable. Cutoff should be around 35-38.
Sec 2 was slightly tricky. VA not the usual workable kind so just be extra cautious with the attempts. No critical reasoning questions, which are relatively workable as compared to the typical grammar questions. Cutoff should be around 36-40.

Overall cutoff should be slightly lower than PM 8 . Should be around 82-85 (Either that or I have screwed up badly :splat: )

Section 1: 15 A 13C 2W= 37
Section 2: 20 A 17C 3W= 48
OA: 85

Section 1 : Could not solve both the geometry questions (angle bisector and the circle) inspite of a glimmer of hope i had while trying to solve. selection of problems were extremely important. Some of questions were pretty straight forward...Felt the permutation combination problems tricky... Also, didnt try to attempt the venn diagram with the three languages..The production Requirement DI set was doable...Have a slight hinch cutoffs might be in 40s...

Section 2: after gettin 24 in last promock, this time it clearly came as a sense of relief. The RC's were fairly solvable.. Some of the PJs options pattern made no sense to me. Squandered a lot of time to the bus plying through various stations to B but to no avail... s... The one with the circular arrangement remained out of bounds coz of time constraint....

Section 1: 22A 20 C - 58
Section 2: 27 A 22 C- 61

Overall - 119

Quant and DI -> 25
Verbal and LR -> 45

Over all 70

Quant was a dismal performance considering that most of the questions are doable.

My Scores:
qa+di=39
va+lr=39
OA=78

Dont think ill make the cut this time:(

Btw, what do the other puys think abt proc 9..how was it in comparison to proc 8..wud the cutoffs be lower than proc 8?

got some life with this one..

not great but nevertheless relieving

sec 1: 19A 19C 57
sec 2: 26A 16C 38

have to check analysis where i went this much wrong in VA

Gave the mock today in 3 pm slot:

Section1: 17A 14C 3W 39
Section2: 23A 14c 9w 33

OA: 40A 28C 12W...72 should have been better.

Have to see where things went wrong in section 2...In my opinion mock was a little tougher compared to prock 8 and a bit easier than proc 7! Still cutoffs wont fall below 80 I think..

Lets wait for scores of few more puys, then only anything can be said about the difficulty level..

Had for the 1st time a similar score in both the sections...generally get low scores in QA/DI, but this time got good accuracy.
QA&DI;: 16 15C 1W: 44
VA&LR;: 27 20C 7W: 53
OA: 97 😃

hmmm..looking at the scores here i think the cutoff's will remain in the 85-90 region..

Section 1: 23C, 6W 63
Section 2: 23C, 7W 62

Overall: 46C, 13W 125

It was probably the easiest Mock yet (I couldn't give Proc-8 due to some technical glitches). I feel that a score of 140+ is easily achievable in this test.

Sec 1 : 18A 14C --> 38
Sec 2 : 24A 19C --> 52
OA : 42A 33C --> 90

Sec 1 cutoff could be around 40 and Sec 2 cutoff could be around 45. I feel 90+ is needed to clear OA.

I personally found the Sec1 paper interspersed with sitters, question selection was important. Overall i dont know why I got so many wrong, haveto work on accuracy.

Puys,

Could anybody tell me the solution to the triangle problem?

I am reproducing the problem here

in a triangle ABC and angle A=120. AD is the angular bisector of angle A which meets BC at D. If AB=8 AND AD=6 find AC?

This looks simple in the first sight but failed to realise that it should have been left after working on it for 3 min

Thanks

Royally Screwed..yesterday AIMCAT 1208 n today - Proc - 09!
QA/DI - 27
VA/LR - 27
OS - 54 😞 😞

Proctored Mock 9 was more or less on the lines of Proc Mock 8. I think the cut offs will drop slightly if at all they drop.

Sec1 - 16 correct, 4 wrong = 44 (I guess cutoff around 34-37)
Sec2 - 19 correct, 8 wrong = 49 (I guess cutoff around 43-46)
OA - 35 correct, 12 wrong = 93 (I guess cutoff around 84-8

Accuracy was not on the good side. I guess a score of 95(+/-2) should fetch 99 percentile.

I think I was able to solve it.. Not sure if it was correct but I got an answer which was matching with one of the options.
First in triangle ABD use COS theorem to find BD. then use angle bisector property to get the ratio for AC/CD. Then put COS theorem in triangle ACD. substitute the value of CD in the equation, u will get a quadratic in AC. And get the value.
(I m not at all sure if this is the correct way or not. Just that I did it this way.)

Area of triangle = 1/2 * b * c * Sin (A)
That should do it.

sec 1 : 22A 20C 2W score= 58
sec 2 : 29A 21C 8W score= 55
overall: 51A 41C 10W score= 113
Definitely an easier one. Expect highest to go around 140+
