MBA from IGNOU would not give u as much as value addition as much as a CFA would. The knowledge levels of CFA would be far greater than a MBA.

hi anup joshi - there is nothing called cfa india, CFA means US designation world over includes India. MIFA is a degree from a state university that is ICfai university many other universitys have similar degrees, Also all distance courses have to be through ignou icfai is also allowed to lend distance programs through ignou only. IGNOU is well recognised and MBA is good add on degree on your resume also cost effective. Dont waste money on icfai courses unless u want to make the icfai marketing university get richer and fatter. Ignou mba adds more value.

I have also been selected for PGPM-IBS Gurgaon.. but ther dont award any kind of degree and diploma and encourage students to join distanc learning along with PGPM Progrm..

puys nobody discusses about this MIFA these days n moreover icfai hyderabad has startd a regular MIFA course so now this mifa(cfa) distance learning is valueable or not?will the introduction of the regular mifa affect the value of mifa(cfa) (distance learning)?

Really tensed an hoing that somebody canhelp me out here with the list of questions i have
1. Will i get good job offers after doing CFA???
2. I'm working with a HR BPO backoffice.. profile of a MIS executive (reporting profile). Will this be considered as a relevent work ex for CFA??
3. I got a call for a Job for a HR position an they were offering a package of 4 ( almost double of what i'm getting) but i didnt went for it as i want to make my career in Research field and a newbie in the research industry will not be given this much of package( as per me). if i would have got that HR position and after completing my CFA i would like to change my line then i my higher package could have lead to a problem.
Please advice... I'm thinking so much and so many things and this point of time as i dont want to screw my career.. 
Sanchi MIFA is actually not a course on HR an MBA in HR will help. Icfai markets its university programs to people no matter what! Its very unfortunate they have misled you. Even people believe MIFA is given as CFA with a government charter, Its not the case MIFA is not CFA and only a university degree.
@Freedreamer- Yes i know that the course is not about HR. I have cleared its 2 groups.. but my main question was that what kinda package can i expect when i enter into the field of Research and will my present experince me counted in Research field. I'm currently working as a MIS executive the work is of anaylzing and reporting of employees compensation. We use Excel of Advance level. So thats why i beleive that should be considered but want to know the opinion of a person who is already in the Research Field....

i am in final group of CFA (MS finance). i.e security analysis , portfolio managament & mutual funds.
i have been appearing this group since 2007. I am still as bewildered about it as i was on the first attempt.
in the recent april 2011 quarter i had done the best performace ever .(security analysis 1 ) in the first 30 questions i scored 23 (after exam i came back home, consulted book, past answer sheets,& confirmed 200% i got 23).I appeared 4 problems , I came back home did them 3 times got the same results everytimes ,consulted a teacher about steps, had got them all correct
Long question :- written one ditto ditto as has been given in the book( minor comma , fullstop must be the differences if at all ).
Under any circumstance I cannot get less than 64 ,in any case no matter wher u get my answers corrected .
evean if u send it to harward or mit ,evean they cannot give me less than 60 in any case
Similar is the case with portfolio management paper i expected 56 there (i did relatively poor , compared to SA-1)
but u kno what happened i got 40 in SA-1 42 in PM&MF-1;
u know, i really dont know what i am doing
