Past year papers are available at 4shared.com.. However.. u will be able to find only 3 attempts papers. as ICFAI has stopped publishin papers. Jus browse thru da site.. n if u r unable to locate them.. will mail u..

If u hav appeared for 1st 3 levels.. results will be out by 6th or 7th of next month.. if u hav appeared for Level 4,5 or 6 then results are expected after a week of announcement of results of Level 1,2,3.
For Oct exams..
For levels 1,2,3 results likely to be declared on 6th or 7th Nov.
For Levels 4,5,6 results likely to be declared on 13th or 14th Nov.

I think its high time we think about permanently banning such nuisance-creaters like jaiho and ravi_dce. Just banning them for 10-15 days won't work.
The problem with these guys is that they are behaving like fanatics and disrupting the purpose for which this thread was created. They are not ready to listen to what the people who have completed CFA are saying and they just want to believe in what lies in ther brazen heads.
All ICFAI CFA students are having discussions about sharing resources and study tips but somehow these people just dont seem to understand.
No one over here is spreading venom against the CFA Institute, but it is jaiho and ravi_dce who are unnecessarily getting frustrated over this issue when already much has been said and discussed about it here. It is apparent that these people haven't been taught manners by their parents and hence are behaving immaturely, but I am sure that atleast the mods in PG forums are mature enough to take the right decisions.
I think like the case with most other forums, PG should consider banning the IP from which these guys operate apart from banning their user names.

I am eagerly looking forward to hear new success stories like that of Tumtum et al. Can anyone let us know if there were any new success stories or these were just one off things. By sharing success stories maybe you can change people's perception. Let the new success stories, if any, be told to all. Awaiting them eagerly.

Great you are maan ..! I am struggling to clear the level B. Every time I study quant harder they make the Q paper even tougher. And now toh you dont even get the past Q papers. Any tips how I should pass the FM and Quant in Level 2. Moreover please throw some light on the job market for CFA. I want to start my career ASAP.Would it be possible for me to get an entry level job with Level 2 passed. Prior to this I did BCA for my graduation. Kindly advise.
We do not want any helpful insight from you as what to choose and what not to. Please leave this thread to people who want to contribute to it contructively. Posts like these are hampering and degrading this thread. Kindly leave the choice to candidates joining. Don't try to influence anybody here.

This is a personal attack on me along with the personal attack by Ms Puri. I am not a fool to give money to ICFAI and do their so called CFA. I think people should be aware of all the pitfalls of doing their studies from ICFAI. Its better late then never. If you had enough of this dont read. India is a free country and everyone has a right to express their views and you cannot stop it. Long live democracy.

Its well Known ICFAI - cfa is in a big mess. We need to hence forth discuss it as just a University MFA. A lot of my friends and colleagues confuse it with CFAI(American) or with courses like CA(ICAI), CWA(ICWAI), CS(ICSI) WHICH ARE THE ONLY STATUTORY INSTITUTES SET UP BY AN ACT OF THE INDIAN PARLIMENT AND PERFORM CERTAIN STATUTORY DUTIES THAT NO OTHER PROFESSIONAL CAN LEGALLY DO. ICFAI IS NOT SUCH A BODY BUT A PRIVATE UNIVERSITY RUN A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS(of course legally in india).
All puys should there fore discuss issues and not just biased opinions.
If any body wants to discourage any body from doing courses LET them be allowed based on merits and demerits alone and not on biased opinions.
1. Whatever icfai calls its course by the end of the day its just the MFA degree from a state university.(CFA,CPA and a host of designations linking to world reputed bodies making carbon copies is a desperate attempt by Icfai to induce students and is using these designations as a bait to lure them and make more money. I believe its a really cheap strategy on part of the university. Any body can register societies under whatever name (available) with out actually having any linkages to renowned institutions. I am saying this so that you puys know that AICPA(American institute of certified public accountants) - is not linked to CPA of Icfai.
2. CFA's who pursued their courses during the Icfai - CFAI linkage times in the late 1980's did a have a very good job , and have reached really good positions in the indian corporate space. Showcasing them to present students and inducing them to join these courses is another strategy by Icfai- Let me point out that the 1991 liberalization policy opened a host of job prospects to indian capital market professionals and showcasing them(people w/t more than 10 years of experience) is not right as job conditions have changed drastically FRESH STUDENTS Should keep this in mind. Icfai promises its MFA salary around Rs20000pm. ONLY pls keep that in mind.
3. The american CFA supporters please note that CFAI does not hold a sole legal trademark(rights) the world over and is confusing the media and the investing public. Even it is also a body of individuals. The UK stuck down its rights to issue CFA as it is not a royal charter. DID CFAI CHEAT ICFAI or is it the other way round should not be your issue as students.As the matter is subjudice let the courts decide that!
4. I have pursued Icfai ms finance till DBF and not delta and my friends simultaneously pursued the CFAI-CFA. Much of the materials are same and mostly on the same topics only icfai has an indian flavor relevant to the indian job market. CFAI cfa is more relevant to the american job market. Its my personal opinion - We used to discuss answers and share QPs. I found icfai was more rigorous than the US. So please those who have not gone through both these syllabus should not comment baseless thinks that the icfai-Mfa material is utter rubbish its not the case, Again its my personal opinion that the both students are competent enough. I respect CFAI - CFA's for their knowledge and the associated body - IT adds a lot of charm to their resume, as for as icfai- MS fin/Mfa for their knowledge alone.(opinion based related to my interactions with these professionals)
5. CFAI is also a profit making body*(please stop trying to paint CFAI as Ram or Ravan, same applies to Icfai). Relevant Work experience is built in the CFAI course of CFA as they take exams yearly and to be called CFA you needs 3 years of valid relevant experience.Icfai students go with out it and once they gain that experience even there earning increases.
6. CFAI - course doers have better advantage as there are lot of jobs that take just CFA level 1 or 2 passouts, icfai doesnt have that.
7. Being a pioneer in CFA education CFAI has the first mover advantage in the corporate job market and there by much better prospects.
8. Just stop totally biased arguments that Icfai MS/MFA course students end up in bpos or call centres. Its utter rubbish now a days public sector banks recruit icfai students but at government scales around 20000-30000(around 3-4 lac p,a based on experience). Comparison with CFAI - CFA's is totally a wrong comparison as their backgrounds are different their startng would be in the range of 7 lac p.a upwards .
LASTLY ONE HAS TO DECIDE how each courses would benifit and once started just finish it thats always better unless u have smething more better.
