Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna (CIMP) is a government of Bihar initiative modeled on the lines of IIMs. Shri Nitish Kumar, Hon'able CM of Bihar, is the chairman of the institute. CIMP has been established as an autonomous institution with active support from the Government of Bihar, with an objective of contributing substantially to the academic and development credentials of Bihar, while fulfilling the primary role of training students to become professional managers. It is one of the premier institutes of Eastern India and number one in Bihar. We offer an AICTE approved 2-year full time PGDM program since 2008.

The first and second batches received 100 percent placement, thanks to the support of the corporate world. Some of the top companies like AMUL, HDFC, ITC, DION Global Solutions, L&T;, NDDB, TAS, Colgate Palmolive, Amba Research to name a few, have already recruited from CIMP. About 30% of our previous batch has been placed in metro cities.

CIMPs achievements within a short period of time are laudable by any standards. Our students have written research papers which have been selected for presentation in international conferences. To acquaint you with our Institute, I am jotting down a few achievements and FY 2011 placement highlights of our Institute.

CIMP has been conferred the very prestigious Dr J J IRANI AWARD for Excellence in Management Education. We are the youngest Institution with only four years of existence in the country to receive this award.

Ranked among the top 20 institutions in India in research in Economics and Finance according to a survey in 2010 by University of Connecticut.

Rated as the best micro-finance related research institution in India by NABARD

Faculty collaborative research with Old Dominion Business School, Virginia, U.S.A.

Collaborated with Lancashire Business School in UK for research on Corporate Social Responsibility

Collaborated with Stockholm University for research on micro-finance institutions and their working in India

Placement Highlights 2012
Average of 3 job opportunities per student in batch (2010-12)

Annual package in the range of Rs. 5 Lacs to Rs. 12 Lacs

Achieved 100% placement of students with an average annual package of 5.25 Lacs

Companies were from Banking & Finance, KPO, Consultancy, FMCG, IT & Telecom, Advertising & Media, Manufacturing and other sectors

A look on your profile, otherwise, shows a better chance for a GDPI call. Prepare for GDPI.

If selected u will be required to submit your graduation documents at the very first day during the time of 1st sem registration in college.

autocrat, you have got a pretty fair chance for a GD-PI call. start preparing for GD-PI.

here is an excerpt from CIMP website. I hope it will make the things clearer. "If selected, such candidates will be allowed to join the programme provisionally, only if he/she submits a certificate latest by June 30, 2013 from the Prinicipal/Registrar of his/her College/Institute (issued on or before June 30, 2013) stating that the candidate has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor창€™s degree/equivalent qualification on the date of the issue of certificate." For details, visit www.cimp.ac.in

To add a little, under extremely adverse situations you may be given an extension, or may be asked for a tentative date by which you will submit that.

@PRAGYABHARATI getting a call totally depends on the number and quality of candidates registration we will get but still you have a chance 2 get a call for GD-PI. hope 4 d best n start preparing for GD-PI
