@sampras said: Hi all, just landed at Airport.... going for catching train...at stn...hope all are busy with final touch...PM me If any help required...on my mobile.. was going through pages , seen much concern about the sinx wala problem.... is it solved or should I try... I have here 2 hrs with me at stn...
bhai center kaunsa aaya hai aapka???????
@Brooklyn said: if sin# + sin^2 # =1find value of:cos^12 # + 3cos^10 # + 3 cos^8 # + cos^6 # -1explain karo koi !! hw to solve
hmmmm problem has been made complex by use of higher surds...
I think it can be solved in more simple way.... algebraically....just now I tried .... found it simple so sharing here..... (yesterday was in no mood of giving it a try)... But now it has become a concern... I am doing it here :
taking x in place of #...
Qn : If sinx+sin^2x=1,
then cos^12x+3cos^10x+3cos^8x+cos^6x-1 = ?
Solution : given sinx = 1-sin^2x,
rt(1-cos^2x) = cos^2x .......squaring we get........ cos^4x = 1-cos^2x
=> cos^4x+cos^2x-1 = 0 .............take cos^2x = t
then we have t^2+t-1 =0 ............................................(1)
Now transform the given eqn in t form...
t^6+3t^5+3t^4+t^3-1 = 0 .........................................(2)
divide eqn 2 by eqn 1
we have now
t^6+3t^5+3t^4+t^3-1 = (t^2+t-1)(t^4+2t^3+2t^2+t+1) = 0 ............ Answer

qn and answer both posted bhai on pg 265... any shorter method welcome.... will help at the 11th hr to all
@lalit5800 said: @sampras ....AND @JS-M ........guys here the sol.sinx + sin^2x = 1and cos^2x + sin^2x=1hence cos^2x=sinxput the value u will get the answer.
yar ye 2nd line kaise aayi??
@lalit5800 said:@Brooklyn ....bhai its trigo identity sin^x + cos^x = 1
yar vo to meko bhi pta hai :P
oh u wrote it as an identity i thot u wrote it as an eqn after doin some calc 😃
got it thnx

Dear all, one last minute tip, applicable to me even :1. keep your head cool enough, donn think If I can't do this time what next, rather keep yourself saying, come what may ... I am gonna give my best performance ever.
2.Try not to discuss much with others, but keep revising formula or concepts in your brain ... If any you had gone through at the last moment... before leaving home.
3.In exam ... its not about showing how knowledgeable and master in concepts you are... rather ... its how smart you are in choosing the qns with easy pick ups ( almost 60-70%).... and how smart you are in leaving the qns consuming more time or with whome you are not confident with.....
Believe me this is the only trick which has helped me in cracking most competitive exams... other wise I can see there are much more experts and knowledgeable persons around me.... some of them really genious... here also on this forum very intelligent and talented puys are there... would love to see them come at the top utilising their full potential.
4.I have seen its better to start Maths paper from somewhere in middle, from any qn of your fav topic....again missing easy pick ups.... does hurt and pains... last time I missed two whole para in Eng and one DI in maths... so please don't do that......
Final word from me ALL THE BEST to all of us....and miles to go Before I sleep
@gudda1122 bhai
sin (A + B) = (sin A)(cos B) + (cos A)(sin B)
sin (A - B) = (sin A)(cos B) - (cos A)(sin B)
tan (A + B) = (tan A + tan B)/(1 - (tan A)(tan B))
tan (A - B) = (tan A - tan B)/(1 + (tan A)(tan B))
yeh hi hai na jo aap bol rahe thay ??
sin (A + B) = (sin A)(cos B) + (cos A)(sin B)
