answer bata de acid:water ratio
bata diya already
@mickym Yup!
Initially:-
Blue:130
Red:160
White:180
Since we do not know the red and white respective composition used to draw pink stripe i took red and white paints together!
Therefore,
Blue:130
Red & White:340
Now, say x liters are used to draw a single stripe, Therefore paints left are:-
Blue:130-x
Red & White: 340-3x(x for Red, x for white and x for pink)
Now, since the quantity remaining in the end is same,therefore:-
130-x=(340-3x)/2
which evaluates to x=80L.
Now,after painting 1st wall,paints remaining are:-
Blue:50
Red and White:100
Now i guess the answer follows from options.

Cheers!

share ur soln bro
Let x be amount of paint required to paint strip.....it will be equal in all four cases
Now assume a and b be the amount of red and white paint required for making pink paint
So first eqn is a+b=x-----eq1
Now Blue,Red and White paint left will be
B: 130-x
R:160-x-a
W: 180-x-b
As per question above theree quantities will be equal hence from above eqns we get a=30 and b=50
Using eqn 1 x=a+b and hence x=80
so amount of paint left is
B=50
R=50
W=50
Now for making pink paint again we need Red and White paint in 30 and 50 litre quantities respectively
so paint left aftre preparing pink pint will be
B=50
R=20
W=0
And required is 80 in each case hence we get required quantity of painta as 30,60 and 80

hi friends,
i have appeared for the first time in ssc cgl, and got qualified for tier2 but for tax assistant at the relaxed standard.
if my total score after tier2 is above the cutoff marks for all the posts , would i be consider according to my preference posts??
and
could someone tell me about the job profile of Tax assistant also?
Thanks

Hey Bro
If u r saying that 80 litres of paint are used for each stripe

Then How can second tym he will paint a blue stripe
coz Blue = 130

@sampras - thanks man nice link for 1-word substitutions , u hav any similar links for idioms & phrases ?
Bhai you can download pdf file from here, I found it very useful :

@sumit1234567890 yaar 1st case mein suppose X pours A lt of acid and W1 lt of water.........Y pours W2 lt of water...den.....A/(W1+W2)=8/92

2nd case:
as its given in 1 hour only....its obvious dat X pours d same amount but Y pours half of wat it poured earlier so
A/(W1+W2/2)=10/90

ab solve karle.....
@mickym Hey micky!
I said that he requires 80L to paint one stripe.
So after painting 1st set of 4 stripes he is left with:-
Blue 50
Red & White 100
and therefore he requires 50+'30' litres of blue paint and 80*3=240L of Red & White or 100+'140'L of Red & White paint
And this only follows in option-3.

equation toh mene bhi yahi banayi thi.....bloody calculation mistake...

yeah got to be carefull...1 mistake and den the question is gone...ill work as if i have to do 70 questions in 120 mins....dats how ill approach....

a clock is set right at 12 noon on monday. it loses 1/2% on the correct time in the first week but gains 1/4% on the true time in the second week. the time shown on monday after two weeks will be
@mickym Short Cut
8/92 in 1 Hour with X+Y = 2/23
10/90 in X+Y/2 = 1/9 or 2/18
Bec Acid Strength is same and only water is reducing than = 2/13 ( because 23-18=5 in 30 min)
so without Y=23-10 =13 or ans shud be 2/13

what i did
calculate 1/2% of the correct time that is 24 hr that will be 7.2,minutes it loose
in next week it will gain 1/4% of the correct time that is 3.6 minutes
in the end clock will be late by 3.6 minutes
share ur approach
