3 persons A, B, C complete work in 8 days. B and C together are 5/7 times as efficient as A and B together. On the other hand A and C together are 6/5 times as efficient as B and C together. Alone in how many days each A, B, C finish the work?

A can finish the work alone in 18 days,B in 24 days,C in 36 days.

Let the total work be 40
let a, b, c be one day's work of A, B, C

then a+b+c= 40/8=5..........................(1)

also b+c= 5/7 (a+b)
a+c= 6/5 ( b+c)
frm these we get

a= 2c
b= 3c/2
put ths in (1)

u get c= 10/9 a= 20/9 b= 5/3

Hence A= 18 days
B= 24 days
C= 36 days

A girl of height 90 cm is walking away from the base of a lamp-post at a speed of 1.2 m/s.If the lamp is 3.6 m above the ground,What is the length of her shadow after 4 seconds ?

What is the smallest positive integer k such that (2000)(2001)k is a perfect sqaure ?

An error of 0.02 cm is made while measuring the side of a cube. Find the percentage error in measuring the surface area of the cube, when the side is 10 cm.
