If getting a good job immediately is your only criteria, then here is my take on it:
Right now the job situation grim for all colleges (including CEIBS)......but except for CEIBS, elsewhere the problem is because of recession and hence is temporary. It will get solved.
However at CEIBS, employment prospects for person who is not good at mandarin (read:international students) are not very bright. So here is a problem which is going to stay.
I hope this helps you in making a choice.

I agree but it will be better than any other western B school in terms of financing. On the admissions status link of my CEIBS online app account it says " Scholarship Decision : Pending "
So keeping my fingers crossed :-)

Even I have an admit from CEIBS and intend to take up the offer . Starting the mandarin classes from Jan. Will be great if we can discuss all the formalities here too as I didn't find many people who applied in the first round.
@anshul_sachdev : I heard that if we know mandarin the job offers in China are great and all biggies come to CEIBS. I guess the same is the case with Europe schools too ( except INsead, LBS, Oxford and Cambridge) ....we need to know the local language...Wat is the last date for you to pay the acceptance fee ?I guess should be the same for everyone .I have to pay it by 15th Jan .

Don't understand whether I am eligible for the same as CHIC one talks about people who want to take up SCM. Chances for scholarships are not that bright for international students.

I guess everyone has to submit the deposit by 15th Jan, however the optimist in me wants to see the scholarship decision before that. I have mailed the school about it, but I havent heard back. Let me know if anyone else does.

Thanks for the info ...I have already enrolled for classes here at IIFL in Bangalore. Looks like the scholarship decision won't come before feb 1st as they will give time to everyone.

I heard the accomodation is expensive in the campus and better to take it somewhere near the campus. What do u guys suggest ?

I just had a chat with a current student and he told me that the placement scenario for international students is very bad post MBA and that is the case even if you know mandarin . ...really worried. Do u guys know anyone studying there ? Would be really great to know from smeone studying there

We need to speak to someone about off campus accommodation coz I dont want to be living further than walking distance from Campus. Its advised not to stay too far. If not I will opt to stay in the dorms

I would like to update everyone regarding the few mails I have received. As far as the scholarship decision is concerned I got an email saying that I havent got one for round 1 as it was very competitive. However I would be considered for round2. I have to be to optimistic to hope for one then either I guess
As far as mandarin classes are concerned I had my first class today and I think it was very nice coz the tutor teaches one on one and so she can help you get the pronunciations correct which will be really important while speaking as Mandarin is a tonal language.
