I think...this new pattern will be good...2 days..so no ant ques that we can ask frm ppl 😛 170 mins..and a change in strategy needs to be taken...for all those who were grinding themselves on tough aimcat...move on guys...see the new easy world over here...Say What... 😁 😃

Doesn't anyone feel appalled that all of this year's CAT aspirants are guinea pigs for a new exam pattern ! 

Based on their findings this year, they might adopt or ditch this pattern !

This is an untested approach. The IIMs should not be allowed to be so callous towards students, we should definitely make your voices heard.

IIMs can't take students for granted, and experiment as they please with funky exam patterns.

Seems like they want to test patience of test takers as well. 2 hour 50 min exam. Thats interesting. However i wonder why they decided to revert to old pattern wherein one can switch in sections..?? Does removing this restriction helps in program functioning somehow? Any coder may clarify plz?

This new pattern change of allowing switching between sections would have made sense in a pen& paper format...now with 50+50 questions its gonna be a huge headache moving between questions...anyone else feel the same?

Finally some respite after last few years disastrous CAT results! The most comforting news is that there would be no normalization to haunt genuine CAT aspirants!

meri kismat hi kyun kharab hai, ab jab normalization nahi hai, kudos to TCS.Normalization is gone.All have an equal chance to crack it unlike us. Though i will definitely give it this year.

Can anyone suggest how to overcome with this problem of timelimit because ratio of increase in question is more then that of increase in timelimit?How to divide time?

I feel perplexed by how this has gone. They have increased both the questions and the time allotted. I wonder what they're doing with the questions this time. Also, switching between section would mean an insane number of clicks. Hope it turns out well for everyone. Best of luck. It's On..!!!

are there 200 question in 170 minutes or 100 questions / 170 minutes?

50 questions in each section huh!!!

Well two things come to my mind- firstly speed will be a really  important parameter this tym and secondly we have got to be thorough on all concepts.....wat if loads of questions come from Probability and P&C?!!....50-50 format provides a very vast field for setting questions.....No topic can be ignored!!

**** yaar!!!!!!!!!! The contract has been given to TCS instead of Prometric... This will be pakka Bank-IBPS style. No standard to CAT..WTF......354 test sites of which more than 70% wouldn't be at par to standard..... This is non-sense.........
