Received an email this evening from a company for Software Eng position, which was my dream role in engineering. Direct email from HR. No headhunters, no HR agencies/brokers.
15 mins later, came to know that official answer key is out. Was trying to go to www.iimcat.ac.in and then laptop hard-disk crashed.
I think this is god's signal to me to start attending tech interviews now and leave this MBA race. I am not checking scores. Not enough courage.
I really hope things turn out to be sweeter than ever.
:'( :'(
All the best folks. Pray that scaling works in everyone's favour.
I have a doubt in the official answer key in one of the question related to odd man out.
Question ID :4891686594
Five sentences related to a topic are given below. Four of them can be put together to form a meaningful and coherent short paragraph. Identify the odd one out.
As India looks to increase the number of cities, our urban planning must factor in potential natural disasters and work out contingencies in advance.
Authorities must revise data and upgrade infrastructure and mitigation plans even if their local area hasn’t been visited by a natural calamity yet.
Extreme temperatures, droughts, and forest fires have more than doubled since 1980.
There is no denying the fact that our baseline normal weather is changing.
It is no longer a question of whether we will be hit by nature’s fury but rather when.
Both TIME and IMS have given option 4 as the answer but official key is considering option 3 as the answer.
I have marked Statement 4 because it refers to weather which is just 'the state of the atmosphere at a particular place and time as regards heat, cloudiness, dryness, sunshine, wind, rain, etc. All the four other statement are talking about increase in natural calamity and mitigation plans.I think statement 1 ,2 are related and 3,5 are related.Hence,4 is the odd man out.
Is there anybody else, who thinks i am correct? Depending on the response and suggestion i am thinking to challenge the answer key. Please provide me your input on this.
DILR Analysis(Based on cracku data, sample space - 11k) Rank and average is based on section wise toppers not overall toppers.
Slot 1 and 2 (in that order):
rank 1 - 75 80
rank 25 - 61 57
rank 50 - 57 54
rank 100 - 52 49
rank 250 - 44 43
rank 500 - 36 36
top 25 average - 66.08 63.48
top 50 average - 62.32 59.4
top 100 average - 58.38 55.15
top 250 average - 51.892 49.448
top 500 average - 45.846 44.504
So I have done analysis for all 3 sections. Looks like slot 2 guys will get +10 in scaling if the score is in 99 range, +7 if the score in 95 range and below 70%ile there won't be any scaling(Completely my opinion)
After so many posts about CrackU scores/rank lists/percentiles, can someone tell what margin of normalization can be expected between the 2 slots? Let's say a raw score of 160 for both slots. How far can they go for both Slot-1 and Slot-2?
Kindly advice regarding the colleges from which I can get calls (based on my expected percentile). Request to provide some guidance reagrding this as the criteria for getting IIM calls is highly ambiguous to me,
