Hi Friends , can you help me?

I am stuck and looking for genuine help.

I am GEM

10th - 83%

12th- 73%

Btech - 67%

Story: 1 year gap between 12th and btech (for another jee attempt)

I have completed btech in 5 years instead of 4 years (saddest part, although i was due to only 2 subjects)

Then worked for IT company , workex 36 months

Left job in 2017 February and gave cat 2017 preparing at home, just got 65 percentile.

Again preparing for cat 2018, have joined some internship this year for gap thing .

Do I stand a chance in top bschools like IIMs, XLRI, IIFT, TISS etc? 

Pls suggest genuinely taking into account my scenario.

Is it advisable for a fresh engineer to choose NITIE over IIT B for general management ? (Don't go on placement reports only). Which brand will be more useful in short term ? Comment stating advice is welcomed :)

Need some practical advice-

GEM

10th 2006 : 85%

12th 2008: 74%

1 year Gap

B.Tech 2009-2015: 63% with 2 year gap because of detention from examination. CAT 2014: 78%ile

Worked as an Salesman in IT firms since January 2016 till February 2018. Done well during my job ex.

Currently, I am full time preparing for CAT2018. I am done with the text books of TIME material but having numerous doubt. Hence I have to go once again throught text books and do the revision as well. Probably from mid June I will start the online exercises and Mock test.

I always wanted to do MBA hence I am preparing for it this time with focused and honest efforts.

The advice that I am looking for is: whether I should focus only on MBA or should I take SSC into account as well. What chance do I have, as per fact & figures, of getting admitted in New IIMs or Top 25 colleges?
#Looking for some practical advice;not motivation.

  • Go for CAT 2018.
  • Prepare only for SSC.
  • No chance @ CAT
  • Start preparing for SSC as well.

I was just watching mutual funds ad where one person says to another the more the duration you invest in mutual funds the chances of favorable returns increases. I was just thinking can't one lodge a complaint against the ad for false claim? How can one prove this claim to be right or does the disclaimer after the ad makes up for it?
