Need Opinions.

10/12/Grad/CAT - 93/86/66/99.53

BE in CSE from Bits Pilani(Hyd)

33 months of work ex in an IT services firm(Roles: Software Dev, Project Management, Talent Acquisition)

Converted MDI PGPM and will convert NITIE PGDIM.

I would like to stay in the IT sector or perhaps move into Consulting post MBA. With my profile and experience what will the best option be, given that both MDI and NITIE supposedly(not sure) offer similar roles in the above domains.

What will i miss out if i choose the other? Factors important to me - B-school experience(case studies, competitions, rigorous course), placements and also ROI.

Which one makes sense ?

  • Coffee wala coffee

Is it advisable to do PGP after 4 years of experience? I am not interested in continuing in IT and while I am trying for ISB, also thinking of giving CAT another shot. Will 4+ years of experience in IT hamper my chances of securing a good post MBA placement?

Anyone interested in time 2017 sectional test at 150 rup wh-at-sapp me 9755059539 (I have downloaded them all)

What are all the Tier-1 b-schools in India?

Would Merit Rank Β till 290 will clear for NITIE PGDIM GEN ?

### URGENT GYAN needed ###

I am working as a software dev presently and have 20 months of work exp as of now. I am waiting for new IIMs results and am also considering writing CAT again. But if you ask me, why MBA or why Finance, Marketing etc, I frankly have no valid reason, I just want to do MBA coz I want to grow in career, and I think Finance is a good option to consider. So I am planning to leave my job next year ( if I have to give CAT again), maybe I will join some coaching institute ( for CAT or otherwise) and study for CAT and GMAT and also write the CFA level 1 exam. Please guys guide me on this, if it is a good option to choose? I think I can do better in CAT next year considering I already have the experience of interview/exams and everything.Β

Also, why is CFA important for a finance MBA graduate? How difficult is it for an engineer with no prior finance background to crack CFA level 1?

Hi all, In a dilemma here. Which of the following to choose. Xlri hr or Nitie pgdim Don't have any inclination and no prior idea/notions about both. Any suggestions in comments would be welcome.

Any one having number system for cat by Nishit Sinha?? Please provide link..

Hi, I have 4+ years of workex mostly in IT and last one year in a NGO, I have converted MDI,SP Jain and new IIMs in the past but always felt that is not where I want to be. This year converted IRMA at 98 percentile, did not sit for other interviews. I want to end up in policy with energy in specific being a area of interest. Is IRMA the right place for me to explore the these interests, I am sure that I want to end up in the development sector but at the same time I don't come from a financial well of background as well, parents will have to be supported as well. Can I strike a balance between money and passion? And are there people who are in a similar situation as mine?

Only for Finance, reasons would be appreciated. TIA.

Asking this in a neutral group , for unbiased opinions.

Guys, It can be observed that there has been massive WL movement in top colleges such as IIM C , IIM I , XLRI. Now Will this bring down movement in IIFT Delhi WL? Β Just curious to know.

TIA
