Finally...IIM Calcutta it is..To be honest, I had only one college/ one experience/one place in mind when I started preparing for CAT...and after 16 eventful months the intangible desire within has atlast been transformed into tangible reality! However, this wouldn't have been possible without the support and motivation that I received from the Pagalguy community! Due to the existence of this online preparation forum, I received the oppurtunity to mix with a bunch of dedicated feline hunters and as time went by, this group assumed gargantuan proportions in my life, in my world of CAT preparation.Tonight when I look back at everything about the last few months,every one out of two things that will make me smile has its roots in the group's discussions.Beneath the umbrella of our shared interests in trying to kill the ill-famed cat, I think we have created enough amongst ourselves to cherish and uphold our association for the rest of our lives!So here's a shout out to "Billi Killers" for their amazing contribution, and here's wishing more power to you PG community! Happy prepping and continue nailing! 😄

For the last time, bahut confusion hai. Placements only. Strategy and consulting. Consider roles offered, companies and package. Also GEM Fresher, horrible profile, chances for better placement? Flat lockin ka situation hai, might not even convert new IIMs but should I wait or not, need some immidiate advice..
PS : As per my research NMIMS seemed better as of now, but consider placements in 2020 and future prospects too. And I need a brand name more than anyone else, so if only marginal difference in placements acc to you, choose IIMs. Fees/ROI is not a factor at all. Did not sit for campus placement, can’t even take a drop…

Interested in Consulting/Operations/Analytics.
1. VGSOM completed 100% placements in early January and released its interim placement report but even best of the new IIMs started releasing in April.
2. Batch size and average CTC are almost same for IIM Ranchi and VGSOM.
55% of the batch in VGSOM are placed in Operations/Analytics/Consulting.
But I think IIM Ranchi/Tirchy will make a good brand in the next few years as it seems they already outscored IIM shillong.
- VGSOM as interests are inclined towards Ops/Analytics with an IIT tag
- IIM Ranchi/Tirchy for better opportunities, IIM tag, catching the pace of 15 year older IIT

Hi I need some genuine advice. Converted both B and C. So i am a little confused about which college to choose. Acads 91.2/90/9.4 . Engineer from a decent college. Interested somewhat in finance and most probably will go for finance. Passed out in 2017 and will have 8 months of workex in analytics during joining. Which college to choose. Please give your opinions in comments.. Thanks in advance

IIT Madras wait list 45 category OBC chance of converting
Should one be interested in foreign exchange programs offered by B-schools? I say this because except a few old IIMs, most of the institutes send students of some not so well known Business schools in the name of their 'flashy' exchange program. Are people interested in shelling out an extra 4lacs for this?
Football clubs vs B-schools IIM-A: Real Madrid (always at the top) IIM-B: Barca(have students with high acads(read talent) like Messi but still IIM-A triumphs it. IIM-C: Juventus ( Have been trying to get ahead of AB for quite some time now) XLRI: Bayern ( have X-factor about them) FMS: Atletico Madrid ( always remain with top teams and not spend lot of money) IIM-L: Manchester United ( Well, one of the biggest clubs in the world but few prefer FMS and XL over it) SPJ:PSG ( have got money and potential to join the colleges above) IIM-K:Man city.(don't have great history compared to ABCL but have grown alot since 2008) IIM I: Spurs.(Have been promising in last few years but have too much on the plate ) MDI: Chelsea.(Don't have big history but have maintained themselves at the top with all the resources they have) JBIMS: Liverpool (Very good in champions league (read finance) but have their share of problems like selection process. IIFT: Dortmund ( Have something unique (foreign trade: yellow wall) about them) SIBM: Sevilla (Never in tier-1 but always manage to win tier-2 battle (europa league) NMIMS: Arsenal( 10 years ago used to be a tier-1 college but now only have top infra(Emirates), high fees(costliest stadium ticket) and have suffered self inflected damage putting them in tier-2 ( Europa league). Most of you might had already converted your best call. So what u guys are doing for timepass till joining college?
Ye Jo hum likhte hai ki "avg WAT good PI" or "decent WAT and PI" or "decent WAT horrible PI" kucch Matlab nai iska. You can't evaluate yourself except some people in some cases. My friend with 98+%ile applied to welingkar pgdm as a backup and had great GDPI experience, he wasn't even waitlisted by this tier 4(?) college. Aur hum chale apne aap ko evaluate kake IIM ko!! Sirf khud ko Sahara de rahe hai bas, aur kucch nai!!
