Can anyone help me understand what is the problem with private colleges like:- KJ SIMSR, TAPMI, IFMR, FORE, LBSIM,GLIM-PGDM, BIM Trichy and others like these?? Why do most polls here reflect maximum no. of people do not want to do an MBA from such colleges?

How much relevance do the referrals in the IIM-K form hold? Are they contacted during any time of the process? Or is it just to gauge the candidate's level of contact in his or her firm or college?
