Can anyone tell me the hierarchy of fair, good and decent used by the adcoms. Can someone put some thoughts?
Why is everyone against my decision to go for CAT 2018? I had 78%ile in CAT 2016, 96%ile in CAT 2017 (worked hard). BLACKI rejected obviously. Calls from MDI Gurgaon and New IIM calls only. Hadn't taken any exam except CAT. I am working hard to convert all the above calls (I love challenges) but have no intention of joining. My profile is 10/12/BBA =91/88/72, General Fresher. My reasoning goes like this : This year I didn't give myself enough opportunities for top B schools by not taking XAT (for XLRI), and IIFT (F U ck Snap and NMAT) . SO, if I work harder now and get 99+ at least in CAT 2018, I will definitely get some calls (FMS, IIM K, IIM C, MDI G again, New IIMs again, possibly IIFT, and XLRI) ,,,.... What could go wrong? Why are people saying to grab what you have this year? I want any one out of BLACKI (Kujikude is love ❤️) .... People say it's risky.... How? Will I suddenly drop to 85%ile after preparing for 1 year and taking 100 extra mocks? That sounds ridiculous! In my mind, I can only climb upwards from 96%ile! And then, still the current calls of MDI, new IIMs will be there again in the very least! So, then maybe I ll join MDI, if I don't get anything else.... Nothing to lose... And there will no "what if?" regrets either if I just give myself a fair chance at the top b schools! What would you guys do? Please advice and comment on this.... Got placed in TCS from the campus but did not join. Now the placement has been cancelled. As of now, I have calls from only NM Mumbai and IMT G. Last year also, I was exactly in the same situation, except I had job in hand. Last year, I got waitlisted in NM (scored 212)
Please suggest me, what should I do? Should I join NM if I convert it this year, or should I look for jobs? Although I have been searching for jobs as a back up option, but still unable to find any good job.
