Hey puys, So i have been a really active member on PG since a long time now. But my active participation relates to reading each and every post and comment. Just reading. Because all my questions have already been answered there so no use asking same questions eg: what will be my %ile, or what will the scaling be, again and again.
But here's a genuine doubt. I have given a good attempt and am expecting calls. Hence I have already started GD/PI preps since the last two weeks. I am reading 3 newspapers a day (ET, Mint & The Hindu). I am making notes regarding current affairs, socio-economic issues, etc. However, I am really worried about questions on my work ex.
I am currently working in a private jet company in a research and digital marketing role. What kind of questions can be thrown at me? Similarly, I have worked/interned for 5 other companies (Uber, Bookmyshow, Lintas, etc). Does this make the question pool much bigger? eg: Uber itself can raise endless possible questions, ticketing scenario in India, advertisements and marketing related questions which are never ending (Lintas is an ad agency) and so on. How do I prepare for such a vast question pool. I also have academic questions, questions related to my certifications, hobbies to prepare for.
Itna worried to mai CAT ke liye bhi nahi tha. Need help of veterans here, and people who have given interviews in the past. Please feel free to shed some light.
Talked to an experienced IMS faculty (10+ years of experience). He said that there should be 35-40 marks difference between slot 1 and slot 2, on scores upwards 180.
175 in slot 1 = 210 in slot 2.
155 in slot 1 = 180-185 in slot 2.
I don't really believe this, but seeing all expert opinions, it makes me worried. If that happens, hum slot 2 walon ki to lag gayi
Someone please tell me that it's complete bullshit 😢
TIME estimates a scaled score of 148.66 for a raw score of 136 in Slot 2. Is a difference of 12 in raw score for afternoon slot even feasible considering the fact that slot 2 was easier than slot 1 ?
Just because it is easy to quantify the degree of difficulty in LRDI across the two slots in terms of doable sets , people are able to come up with some or another number of marks that are going to be added up to slot 1 scores, but what about the various discrepancies in the answers of VARC in slot 2 and the proximity of options with each other, i dont find the section to be that scoring as one would have felt.
Most coaching institutes had their serial exam writers (those who have been writing CAT since times immemoria) in Slot 1 this year. Further, many of them are SECTION EXPERTS (attempt only one section as per their expertise). Even Scrambler was in slot 1. Slot 1 vs. Slot 2 scaling is primarily driven by scores of top 100 in each slot. With this background, can we still infer that Slot 1 will be scaled up higher vis-a-vis slot 2 ? A (0.2) Million Dollar question indeed. (0.2 mill = approx 🐈 17 takers).
Hello! I am expecting a raw score of 126-130. TIME has predicted 93.75 percentile. I have 2 years of work-ex. My acads:- 10th-92, 12th-88, B.tech-7.77(GGPA). Can i expect calls from the new IIMs like Kashipur, Shillong, Udaipur and Ranchi?
