Puys, need some genuine suggestion here.
I know JBIMS is a tad bit better but a great campus life, CAT crowd makes me think about MDI. ROI isn't the biggest of my concerns. No specific inclination towards any stream.

Background
10/12/Grad (Bachelors of Business Studies) - 89.3/89.6/73.2
~22 months of work ex in a core fin profile
Cleared CFA L1 last year, giving L2 in June this year
Attempted CAT 14/15/16 - 94.88, 97.10, 99.56
Barely studied for CAT 14, no prep for CAT 15 and 16 as was spending a lot of time in office. Was planning on taking a 6 month break starting July for CAT '17.
CAT 2016 - 99.56
As stated, no prep at all for either CAT 16 or CAT 15. Scored 99.5+ in VA and DI (CAT 15: scored 99+ in these two) , ~93 in quant.
Calls - IIFT, IIM L, IIM K, IIM S, MDI, FMS
Converted MDI, WL 140 (borderline impossible) for FMS
Awaiting IIM L and IIM K. Skipped IIFT (personal reasons) and IIM S
I'm pretty sure of converting IIMK, and of not converting IIM L (interview was horrific, revolved around calculus - something I didn't prepare for) or FMS.
I did not apply to SPJ or XL as I wasn't expecting a good exam season.
Assuming I convert IIM K, would it be better to join that (or MDI), or would it make sense to give CAT one proper attempt? My quant score has been pretty bad (70 in CAT 2015, 93 this time), and I feel I should be able to get it to atleast 97 or so with proper prep.
Upside - My strengths (VA, DI/LR) hold up, quant improves - I get through C/L/FMS/XL
Downside - Another case of someone who got lucky once (or twice, depending on your threshold), and then screwed up the main attempt.
Plz suggest in terms if brand name, placements and ROI

CAT-99.05, Acads-73.2/72.8/68, BE-CSE, 3 years of IT work-ex, I had a good CAP PI & am expecting to convert atleast one of the IIMs in CAP process, my query is that I have poor acads and 3 years of IT work-ex, can someone please highlight what will be the profiles most probably I will be shortlisted for while placements? I am interested in marketing research and brand management profiles (are such profiles available in CAP IIMs?) & if yes will there such opportunities open for me? Or do I have to settle with some management role in one of the IT company? TIA.
