Iam an SC male engineer
acads 8.4/75/7.22 and with 75 percentile in CAT I only converted JAMMU so far.
I dont have a job offer now. If iam going to retake CAT, It would become a gap year.
Should I go for Jammu or retake CAT?
Which one to go for? I am fairly intrested in HR. But since Trichy's HR is relatively new I am not sure if I should leave Raipur for it. Any arguments for either of the two options are welcome.

I have this dilemma in front of me. I have converted IMI Delhi (Core). And as of today, I am waitlisted at "1" at MDI Gurgaon's International Business Course. Can anybody enlighten me about the IB course? I know it would not be a dilemma for many, but for those of you who don't know, MDI's IB course comes with with a dual degree with 1 in europe's ESCP Business School, and that comes with its own expense. So the whole thing (expense + fees) comes out to be around 35-37 lakhs. And I would be required to take loan for the most of it. Can anybody shed some light about the course? Serious answers are appreciated.

Hello , I want to ask a query ... My father's and mother's surname is Mittal but in 10 class marksheet cum certificate I have only my first name without surname. Probably it was happened due to my negligence at that time. And as 10 marksheet certificate act as base because of this I have only my first name in all documents ( Aadhar card , pan card , 12 Mark sheet etc) . Although I didn't face any problem till now . But I want to ask will it create any problem in interviews or during my MBA or after MBA. Please help.

Is a 2 hour CAT test easier to score than a 3 hour test or is it viceversa?
Ideas with the most substance have their inception in the most trivial and unexpected whereabouts. The most sinister ones have innocuous beginnings (Mindhunter), the most thrilling in the most monotonous (Breaking Bad, Fight Club), the most hopeful in the most hopeless (Shawshank Redemption), and so on.
A life-defining career choice of MBA is instilled or at least affected in some by movies like Wall Street, The Big Short, and our very own 2 states. The latter is rather unruly when it comes to creating expectations which are never met. No one shows the true dark side, where you work hard for days at end, only to see a dip in your performance. Where you juggle between a hundred things and receive no appreciation, let alone a reward.
But it doesn't mean that the idea that was embraced foolishly is 'bad'. Sometimes it is that idea itself, that 'day-dream' that keeps people going in the muddiest terrains. Because I have seen people write the name of their dream school when they had next to chance, and make it next year. Not discounting their hard work; the idea, the foolish idea, did play a role.
