If so, why all these thoughts came after the process? 3. Will her parents even stop her from doing a dream job? Would she post even then tagging all media houses to help get WFH forever? Seriously, I'm not understanding the intent. Here, many of our GEM brothers after scoring 99.5+ percentile don't get a top 10 college, and she even after getting all the calls at 92 percentile and converting IIMB, has so many problems left to the solved by media houses and government. Do comment, if anyone understands her thought process.
Need genuine help regarding B-School and specialisation selection. Following are my queries.. If anyone can try and answer them based to the parameters I'm going to mention, it'd be of great help.
- What exactly to expect out of an MBA in HR?
- What does an interest in HRM really mean? (I can think of tangible interest in the field of Marketing/Finance/Ops, but not HRM. I believe anyone who is a people's person can become a good HR rep. Correct me if I am wrong)
- What makes the companies pay hefty packages for people in HR (Specially from XL, MDI)
- What are the internship/job projects for an HR like?
- Does HRM really provides one with better work life balance compared to other specialisations?
And lastly: Is it fine to let go of Marketing at NMIMS and new IIMs (T/R) for HRM at MDI Gurgaon given that I do have a knack for marketing but not really sure as of what to expect out of it. Would probably be good with HRM also, if I get a general perspective on above mentioned queries. Thanks in advance!

After being unable to register for MDI (missed the deadline), unable to give XAT (clashed with SBI PO prelims) and TISSNET (clashed with SEBI prelims) .... the only hope I had left for a good HR college was Ranchi HR
And Now ..... finally I convert it!!!! (I was WL rank 74 General in first list). God giving me one last chance for redemption. I have wasted my parents' hard earned 16 lacs in my Btech degree. But now this is my 16 lacs and I will not waste it!! I promise you PG, I promise you thy world, I promise myself!!

So how is IIM Ranchi's MBA-BA. Is it only for people with an interest in Computer Science? I have a minor interest in Python etc. but don't come from a coding-esque background.
With this being my only proper convert of the season as of now (MDI HR low WL, IIM Sirmaur convert, IIM U borderline WL), should I go for it?
I come from a mechanical engineering background with work ex in Marketing.
