Hi Everyone,

Today last awaited results of MDI are announced. With this for me this jouney is over. I have converted NITIE, MDI Gurgaon and all CAP clgs(Except IIM Jammu and IIM Sambalpur). I request your suggestions on which one should I choose between NITIE and MDI Gurgaon? Though I'll put a poll but would love to see your comments with proper reasoning, it'd be a great help. Thanks in advance for taking time out.

what was the waitlist movement of iim ranchi hr last year in obc?

Best convert of the season, MDI Gurgaon PGDM-IB!!

For someone with an 8/7/5 profile, this battle has always been far too uphill.

Kinda upset I couldn't convert PGDM, but still satisfied with IB. Look forward to finally leaving this preparation phase and moving on to bigger things.

Being a part of this PG community has been an absolute delight these past 2 seasons.

Thank You everyone!!

Asking for a friend of mine. Which is better overall? Thanks in advance.

Hi puys and pals!

I have converted MDI HRM and waitlisted at 118 (general) in PGDM.

This is my best call/convert as of now. I have two questions:

1) Is there even a slim chance to convert core?

2) Given that I have no inclination towards specializations as of now, should i go for hrm if i don't get core?

Guys I want your help, plz guide me!! This was my fourth cat attempt with 98/97/97/99 from 2017 to 2020, I am a mechanical engineering graduate (2018) (GEM) profile 10/12/grad 89/83/74, i have converts from IIM shillong and new IIM's, rejected from mdi, I always wanted to work in IB or MBB but this doesn't seem happening, I am very worried about joining IIM Shillong as I believe it is not at par with other top 10 college's It feels like my life is a compromise and sometimes I have suicidal thoughts, i am in severe depression and undergoing therapy, I also feel that I should again give CAT but dont know how things would pan out this year, I always wanted to join ABC but now I feel i have failed miserably in life, please help me out guys. What should I do guys??

At some point in life you will understand there is no point in blaming others , no point in blaming the system .

It may take you bad academics and 3 years of  workex or rejection after rejection  to understand , but once you realise this you will feel liberated , free from the shackles of victim mentality and you will learn what are the things or events which are truly in your control inside this chaotic high entropy world , YOUR OWN ACTIONS , YOUR LIFESTYLE , YOUR THOUGHTS. That's it.

Today after getting waitlist number of 1588 in pgpm and 894 in pgphrm  from my best call MDI and being in the borderline of CAP calls I relised this fact and I kind of feel free , free from the expectations I had set for myself . I will try to be the best version of myself and that's it. That is all I can do.

I WISH YOU PEOPLE ALL THE BEST . Many of you are probably going through severe distress in many front , but stay strong and try to do the things which are under your control in the best possible way . That is my message to you.

Live long and prosper.

guys which one would you consider? i'm a fresher, extremely confused between finance and hr, and i understand they're completely different, but would like some opinions.

So the MDI results are out and the results' saga has finally come to an end for me. Out of all the colleges I sat in interview for, I faced only one direct reject (and it still hurts, given that it was my best PI experience - VGSOM, IIT Kharagpur), and two waitlists - IIT DELHI (convertable) and DSE (converted). A journey of 5 months here, I am thankful to all the people who helped me with my doubts regarding shortlist criteria and CS stuff. With good acads and a decent cat percentile, I knew PI is my last straw and I had to give it my best. My converts were - MDI, IIM Indore, IIM Shillong, IIM CAP, IIM Amritsar, IIT Kharagpur MHRM, IIT Kanpur, IMT, IMI, DSE, FORE, BIMTECH. As a return gift, I would like to put few notes here - 1. Don't 'fake it till you make it' in your interviews. Be your true self. If you have any weak points, be your own interviewer and frame all the possible questions you can, so that you don't get thrown off guard when you get questioned one in actual PI. 2. Practise your answers. A lot. Record them, share them, ask for feedback. But don't let them sound rehearsed or monotonous. 3. Smile. When you enter and when you leave. Leave a lasting first and last impression. Show that you're actually interested in the process and are not here just for the sake of it. 4. As soon as PI ends, write the whole PI process and search all the questions you didn't know the answers of. Prepare them for the next PI. Also, share this transcript with your friends and/or mentor and know their opinion. 5. Don't get pompous if the interview went too well and don't get dejected if it didn't. Your opinion of how it went may not actually resonate with how the interviewer think it went. At last, I will just say: do good, be good. Life's much more than this. Take care of your health and of those around you. Cheers to those who will take admission this year and all the best to those who will take exam this year. Toodles!

People who have converted MDI.  💯

PLEASE HELP! 🙌

How much do you think past acads matter for conversion?

Also, at what score is it safe to convert a call from MDI?

I have an inclination towards consulting Which one I choose? Does the IIM tag matter in the short term or does it matter in the long term?
