IIM  was set up in 2010 and it started offering FPM (PhD) program in 2013,  from 2013 to 2016 on an average 7 to 8 students were in FPM program each  year. 

2013-17: 7 students
2014-18: 8 students
2015-19: 8 students
2016-20: 8 students
 

On 1,March,2017 Dheeraj Sharma joined the institute in capacity of director. Now see the  following years (PhDs) 

2017-21 Batch: 0 student
2018-22 Batch: 1 student
2019-23 Batch: 0 student
2020-24 Batch: 1 student (updated data)
 

This irregularity must be probed by the  authorities.

Just out of curiosity. Are there people who studied 1 year in tier 2 MBA college and then went on to give CAT again and converted IIMs? Has anyone heard such a story and is it actually doable?

What benefit is there when an IIM is affiliated with CFA Program? I will eventually want to do CFA along with MBA and no new IIMs is affiliated with CFA, altho IIM Nagpur (which I have converted) is affiliated. Should I give up IIM Raipur or Ranchi for Nagpur because of this? 

P.S. IIM Kashipur is also affiliated but I am not planning to join it as I have better converts.

How is IIM Nagpur considering following: 

6 years old IIM, with 5 batches having graduated, among top baby IIM's, batch size is 240, fees around 14 lacs, median salary - 13 lacs and new campus will be ready for new batch this year.

Other options being XIMB-BM (batch size - 360, fees - 21 lacs, median salary - 14 lacs) and IMT G-Core (batch size - 600, fees - 20 lacs, median salary - 12 lacs)

Does IIM brand matters for future career progression, will IIM N eventually achieve the status of Tier-I B school in further around 10-15 years like IIM K, or baby IIM's are unpredictable as of now. 

I am GEM, B-tech( IT ) with 2 yrs. work-ex in supply chain management having acads. 9/9/8 and have interest in a suitable consultancy role.

From IIMC: Guidelines for talking to your mentees: Informally find out the number of calls your mentees have received. Concentrate on those who have calls from A and B . Do not over-sell IIMC, here is some gyaan to help you field C>A+B questions : - Placement stats - IIMC’s well equipped Finance Lab. IIM-C the Fin Campus - Most scenic campus with 7 lakes and hostels like LVH - Highlight how IIMC is building itself as an international brand. *What not to say* to any mentee before the orientation: -Endorse the Rules and sound professional yet helpful and friendly. -Don't mention any details about placements like companies, resume format, packages/stipend, filtering criteria or any other detail that is not publicly available in the placement report -Don't discuss on the topic of administration and the informal activities that happen on campus (Only true Jokars should experience the fun) - Tell them that it is *not IIM-Chill*. Lay stress on *academic rigor (like Term 1).* - Do not directly put down other colleges (A and B that is). - Stick to the good points of C and use CEMS MIM as an advantage of C over A and B. - Do not bring up Con or GGP unless asked. And if asked, DENY their existence. - Do not bring up World War unless asked. And if asked, say that World War is an inter hostel sports event. - Inter hostel sports meet can be brought up to describe campus life along with Sangharsh (ABCL sports meet), various ILSs, case competitions etc. - Do not portray IIMC in negative light (e.g. Saying that it is too far from city etc) Lastly, provide guidance but don't entertain doubts about the procedure forward. All doubts about the admission process will be handled on the official group.
