After messing up CAT (DILR x_x), many doors closed right on the face. It took a lot of self motivation to score well in OMETs. Had calls from SIBM, NM too but I was constantly in the dilemma of whether or not to extend my target college list from top 10 to top 20. The only call I had in my target list was XL.
As everyone has mentioned here, it really is surreal feeling when you convert your best call! It was all worth it to see the happiness of my parents when I woke them up at 12:00 to tell them the result.
This is an appreciation post for entire PG fam. In my very short stay here, I have seen people guide, motivate, congratulate, advise and occasionally fight(lol) strangers on the internet. It is rare to classify a forum with anonymity on the good side of the internet. Thanks everyone for keeping these last few months occupied.

Given the fee for Vgsom is half that of IIM S and the batch size(talking about sanctioned intake and not current batch size) and placements figures are almost comparable, should one prioritise S over Vgsom?

Guys please put in the reasons as to what would you have chosen given these two options.
My stance: Inclined towards Ops due to academic(UG) and work profile(1 year) being in it but want to be flexible regarding the opportunities I get in the bschool and not limit myself to something just because I was a frog of a single well, hence the doubt.
Not putting a poll as don't what back and white answers.

Hi puys/pirls, advice needed, pls help!
Firstly congrats to all A/B/S/XL converts! Please help me make a very important decision..
Some background on myself:
GEM Fresher, Acads: 9/9/9, CAT 19: 94.5, CAT 20: 93.5. International, national and college level extra-curriculars. Some finance certifications as well.
Now in CAT 20 mocks I was scoring very well (above 99 in Sim/AIMCATS) most of the time but during the actual CAT nerves got the best of me (f DILR) and I totally screwed up my attempt. Scored less than previous year and totally disheartened. Converts till now: XIMB BM and IMT-G core.
Now my question is this:
I have no job currently (graduated in OCT-2020), but I have an option of working with a C.A. at his company. If I choose to take another CAT attempt (pls also advice if I should or shouldn't, since there is the nerves and luck factor), will this experience at the CA's firm help me in knowlege and profile building for MBA in comparision to working at a big firm in a Tech/Non-Fin job? (also planning to do CFA this year).
Is it worth taking another attempt at my stage with the said experience at CA firm?
I would again be appearing for CAT this year, i.e CAT 2021. Obviously I won't be starting from scratch as my preparation for CAT 2020 was average. Can someone suggest, how should I start preparing. Like, should I start giving mocks right away, or go through QA concepts(which is my weak area) and revise all the chapters first and then give mocks or solve previous year papers again. I am clueless. Please help
