Day before yesterday I commented on a post "if IIMs want you they will make that happen and if they don't you can file rti and find zero in PI and WAT"
So ma'am @aishu2020 asked me - how to make IIMs want you ? First I thought isn't this question illogical and ignored but then I thought about it and came to conclusion that it's not !
So my answer to that question is - "niche". Explanation - In IIMs professor use case study to teach their students and if I say more accurately students teach each other by presenting their perspectives and learning from others perspectives, IIMs in interviews want to know what you can bring to the classroom that others don't. How can whole batch be benefited by your presence ? That's what they are looking for.
Have you all guys ever wondered, why GEM/F are in majority in every Top bschool ? Even with 10 points for diversity It's not because we have advantage in quant, dilr. CA, Accounts require maths too. But the reason we don't do only engineering in 4 yrs, we only study 2 days prior to any exam and can score 80+ %. On other days we explore, we explore new technologies, we take part in competitions, we work for NGOs, cllg fest k liye Chanda tk ikhtata krte h, and all this gives us experience, it teach us how to persuade something and achieve it. In these 4 years we find our niche and this niche is not something IIMs want, it is something that is the requirement of today's time, if you have a niche you will stand out!
