IIM Lucknow total intake this year in PGP, SM and ABM?
Anybody who is seriously preparing for CAT this year and has scored in the range of 98+ in CAT 2019. Well I would be giving my scorecard/ call letter for purchase of mock test series without 1% of the median salary of the colleges you have converted this season. Please see that you have to give me a success fee in the form of a call/message if you convert a good college next year. DM me. Also I can give my scorecard to any one aspirant. GEMs would be getting the preference (True. They got their asses kicked the most this season). I would be giving it to the highest percentiler who messages me. ππ Yours' truly Rajshekhar Royπ
If you've scored 95+ in previous CAT, and if you are Seriously preparing for CAT 2020, then DM me. As I've created a WhatsApp group for serious aspirants.

In line with the great initiative of AIWTSAC, I guess another initiative driven by recent B-School graduates underlining how B-school life is, the reality about placements and other related stuff would be beneficial to aspirants as well as incoming students.Β

I am currently waitlisted at WL number 32 (General Female Engineer)) at IIFT Kolkata. I have 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer. I gave GMAT last year and my score was 680. I tried my luck with this score at ISB in R1. Though I managed to get a call but couldn't convert. My X/XII/B.Tech(DTU) marks are- 95/91/77. I had been a studious student with normal extra curriculars.
Please suggest if I should join IIFT Kolkata(if converted) or give GMAT again( aiming to score 700+) and apply to ISB again this year. But my only fear is that my profile may not stand out. Also, leaving IIFT Kolkata and applying to ISB would certainly add to uncertainities again.
Please help!

Hi! I gave CAT last year and got a 99.57 (OBC-NCL). My acads are 89/81/76. Graduated from an NIT last yr and have 9 months work exp in analytics as of today. I have converted FMS, K, I and have a big waitlist at C with no hopes of converting. I have an inclination towards finance and was going to attempt CFA L1 this June but it got postponed to Dec owing to Covid. Will it be wise to leave FMS/K this year considering the present situation and that I won't have a chance in fin with this profile. If I drop this year I'm thinking of clearing 2 levels of CFA before joining a Bschool next year and close to 2 years of work exp will definitely open up more opportunities in a Bschool.
Referring to the document ( INDIAN PLACEMENT REPORTING STANDARDS) which is being shared states that "MEP or Maximum earning potential is the sum of the Fixed yearly component + Total one-time cash benefits at the time of joining + Maximum possible performance-linked compensation during the first year of performance + all other components of salary that are a part of the offer. This can Include long term compensation such as PF and other perks as well." It clearly states that it includes all the components which are part of the package(ESOP's). It also states that it includes long term compensation as well ( retention bonuses). I have seen many posts stating the false facts 1. It doesn't include ESOP'S 2. It only takes into account of first year compensation. In simpler words, MEP is the avg package. The positive factor about the audited reports is that they are transparent. This does not mean they donot include the components that other institutes does to calculate AVG. Are students are being wrongly guided ? Hi everyone
I hope your preparations are going well and with SIMCAT 2 scheduled from tomorrow onwards, many of you might be nervous about how the paper will turn out to be and how will you perform. Anxiety, fear, pressure, etc will be there and the purpose of giving these mocks is to overcome all of them and get the best possible score possible.
As the preparations might be well underway for all the serious aspirants, I come up with my attempt strategy of how one might approach the LRDI paper. Please remember that these starting SIMCATs are to be used to find the correct strategy for any CAT aspirant. Make your strategies, take the help of past season veterans, and know their strategy, make some modifications, and see what suits you. The moment you find your strategy, that will be the day when you replicate that in all your mocks and push your scores to the maximum possible level.
Here is the link to LRDI Attempt Strategy - https://www.bschooler.in/overcoming-the-nightmare-lrdi-attempt-strategy/
I hope you improve your scores in this SIMCAT and keep on improving until the CAT.
Best wishes for SIMCAT 2

How much waitlist movement can we expect at FMS?

How pragmatic is joining MDI PGP-IM this year? I've been waitlisted, and I'm hoping to convert it. Is joining a wise decision, considering the present global situation?
In continuation to the suggestion floated about the new initiative about chronicling the 2 year B-school journey by recent grads, I think we would need a name for the repository/new group that will be created for this. Suggestions?
Does anyone here have an idea of the P&G Emerging Leaders Program 2020? Is it happening this year?
Will cat 2020 be more tough/ competitive than cat 2019, given covid job loss, promotion halt etc. ?
We understand the heights of reservation when we observe the composite score cutoffs of IIM Lucknow. It is heavily biased against general candidates. Luckily only IIM Lucknow is transparent enough to publish the Composite scores of individual candidates and cutoffs. We can infer the same in other colleges too. After 1st movement , 58 is the cutoff for general category, 45 for obc, 39 for sc and 28 for st. Literally, the difference between even general and obc is also so huge which I didn't expect and if we take st, it is half of general cutoff approximately. Many of the general candidates are struggling hard to secure a seat in a premier institute but unable to do so because of this system which is leading to disappointment. It is an easy raid for the reserved candidates with a decent enough preparation. With 99 percentile, I got only a L call and with a final composite score of 55-56 after the interview, I have no hope of converting Lucknow. Hope this system get better soon.
My acads are 78,70,62 what should be my cat score to get a call from old iims (ews category)
