Bohut maja aya tha 99.66 lake... ab kirkira hogaya, Got only Indore, which shows i have good 10th and 12th. Ab percentile kitta lau koi bataega.
Just checked one online evaluation of profile for my profile. It's 💩. Other colleges around the world too have these stringent criteria, and it opened my eyes. It's not easy to get into even a top mim without much extra curricular or co curricular. With 98 in CAT and low acads, chances for converting top colleges are low, and without any opportunity we cannot build our profiles as well. We have what we have now, and will have the same at 99.7 (l/c call after 185/210 respectively). Still, let's fight for all the calls we get! It's the battle cry for those who want a college this year! Let's fight and prove that even if we have 💩 profile, and bring no diversity, we can still survive in this cut throat world!!
Just putting it here so that people understand how unfair the world is and for positivity if you may find: Father was born in a family where his father refused to let him study as who will go out with him and how will they earn food as daily wage income for family. But he struggled, sometimes studied. His elder brother also had similar story who ran away from home to study and got a govt. job. He helped the younger brother to study and eventually family. Younger brother passed matriculation and was offered a teaching post- salary ~200rupees/month. Got married and received a cycle, watch, radio and some cloths in marriage.(call it dowry if you wish) Fast forward 25 years he has groomed his son to become a JEE fail engineer, who then started earning salary at the age of 22. His son attempted CAT targeting only for new IIMs having a first-hand experience of indian education system. Somehow his son got a call from a new IIM and XLRI. Father is already happy. Mother don't know what it is but still happy. But son is not happy, son knows the world is unfair and the shit just unrolled. But son knows if he could reach at a better place he will hit the ball that it shines like a GEM in the sky. ~ No matter where you are remember that it's 100% raw work, not some freebies ~
I was having a conversation with one of my friends about IIMK. His response..... Printout nikal le score ka Aur usko roll karle Aur fook le Kuch to use ho jaega Kyunki score ka koi matlav nahi rha Chudap kar dia har jagah Gem walo ko lena hi nahi chahte Btw he is from nit, prepared for cat as well but ultimately realised that it's not worth it
Just curious: For GEMs, has it been happening for years or is it this year that things have gone down for the worst?
K mai last year 90% engineers the, yes, kuch jyada hi the. Diversity was affected. Oh yes, let's call less engineers this time. Do something about it. Give 10 marks for diversity. Are GEM candidates will fight CAT2020 only to loose at the end?? I was willing to give all my might for CAT'20 but feeling a little demotivated now after IIMK havoc.
Zero calls till now at 99.4. Dont know whether to laugh or cry. Worst mistake ever. Should have never prepared for cat
Had 99.65 percentile in CAT19
10th & 12th both 90+
Got no calls from BLACKI.
I didnt do anything wrong but somehow I lost.
Time to leave this country forever.
does anyone remember what was the interveiw dates for IIM Cap roundi in Mumbai last year?
I know a lot of you have said this but these criterias are completely illogical . Diversity as a concept is done for proper representation of a minority who did not have equal opportunity like people of color in USA but non engineer why the only reason engineer perform better was due to QA but that's because maths is necessary in a bschool there is no grounds for a legup if it's a level playing field I did not perform extremely well just 98.7 and I can't even imagine the people with 99 And above are going through but this ain't fair
IIM Bangalore is starting a MBA in Business ANALYTICS.
Other top global business schools offering this programme have requirements/criteria:
1) Knowledge of at least 1 programming language
2) Proficiency in stats/maths
3) work ex in analytics
4) marks/grade in analytics relevant graduation subjects
Meanwhile IIM B criteria:
1) CAT 48% (still fine)
2) 10th 20% 12th 15% Bacherlors 15%
3) gender diversity 2%
candidate A: bro I had low score in Hindi/Marathi, it brought my board score down. I am a CS grad tho
IIM B: ..... off, you are rejected
mech Engineer: bhai mech ke subjects samajh nahi aaye bilkul, fir bhi 8 pointer hai. Electives mein R/Python liya tha aur top kiya. Github pe projects hai. Analytics mein experience bhi hai.
IIM B: toh kya karu mein? rejected
candidate B: I didnt even have math in 12th but humanties lekar 12th mein ache marks aaye lol I have an arts degree in serbian language and i cannot find a job
