Pagalguy is a platform where like minded people discuss about various exams. It has been a useful website to get notifications about admit cards, results and other relevant information. However, from some days, some people are spreadinf misinformation on the platform. Members of the group who aspire to become manager fall in the trap, get cheated, become restless and resort to trolling and swearing. Due to all these, they are wasting significant time on the website which otherwise would have been used to do useful things.
Which, if true, explains the irrational behaviour of aspirants.

I gave CAT 2019. But, I have a doubt. When they give you an interview call, what happens if you don't lift the call because you are busy! Also, what if you call back but they are calling some other candidate. :-|

Hi everyone, there has been a doubt on my mind , I have 2 years of workex and I have got an offer from one of the investment banks giving a very decent pay package. The profile isn't something that I would like to do for long, but the brand and pay is great. Since the whole process of CAT is unpredictable and uncertain, I really don't know what to do. This bank is in Bangalore and all my interview cities are either Mumbai or Calcutta. My joining is in mid Feb and most of the interviews would take place at that time! Please advise!
Puys, I also want to share my experiences with Mr. RR. It was early August and I was scoring 130-140 in the Simcats consistently. At that time I read a post by Mr. RR saying that a GEM needs at least 180 to get a call from A, B Or C. Since I was preparing all by myself and had no colleague who had previously appeared for CAT, I decided to message him and asked him if I was on the right track and if A, B, C was possible. I was already 26 and did not want to screw up CAT 19. Mr. RR told me that A, B, C was not possible for me and some of his students were already scoring 160-180 and he expected them to get good calls. He said that I need to join a coaching or his mentorship programme if I want to be able to get any decent call. He said I may get IMT, Great Lakes at my current level. I was very much demotivated. My scores slowly fell down to double digits. I stopped giving mocks altogether. I did not even fill SPJ, MDI, FMS, etc. as I thought that I would not not get any call from them. A week before CAT, I realised that just by listening to him I stopped my preparation and then I tried to salvage my attempt. I somehow scored a respectable 153 in slot 1. Now, the worst part is that Mr. RR messaged me again asking for my marks. When I told him my marks he said that it was a very good score and I would get calls from most top colleges. He told me that I should join his GDPI mentorship programme that costs less than 1% of the median salaries of the calls that I would be getting. I immediately blocked him. The man cost me my SPJ and MDI calls. One thing that I learnt from this is you need to be aware and informed and stop listening to people like him who can potentially ruin a person's career just for his selfish gains. Just believe in yourself puys, not in people like RR.
