Slot 2.
Playing FIFA the night before with the coolest flatmates around (I got lucky). Waking up to a fuckin wonderful day. Head banging to the chunes from Spiderman : Into the Spiderverse in the shower. [I'm Not Scared of the Dark is my jam, if you're wondering]. Bit of the Arsene Wenger's words in your head - IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT, YOU HAVE NO CHANCE AT ALL. That Invincible feeling is important. Of course, it could lead to madness as well but, hey that's how we roll in this house.
VARC: My head was swimming after finishing the paper in 45 mins. Had to dive back in after that to look at some of the ones I had marked for review. Very tough paper. Did not like reading any of the passages except the one on the Egyptian Chinese language thing. Very unlike CAT. And WHAT was that question on passage flow in the British Colonialism set?! People are joking with the 70 for 99 in VARC predictions imo. Anyhow, 34 attempts because I decided I was all in anyway.
LRDI: Screwed up big time in the first 30. Just 5 questions. Managed to do better in the next 30 and round up to 19 attempts at the death. Genuine were 15, or so I think. Half of the Doctor set, Rainfall, Store DI with that triangle diagram, some guesses on the Pouches set and the Languages set which I think was the easiest in the whole paper but I only found it in the final 4 minutes and managed to solve somehow.
QA: The only thing I had actually worked on whole season, but it never worked the way I needed it to till the final few weeks and it was still off by a few marks even then. Attempst 30. Genuine 28 but got one of the guesses correct as per the PG DT Slot 2 Answer Key. Seems to be good accuracy on it. Hoping for 70-75+. Perfect illustration of how inspiration can help you, was head banging to I'm not scared of the dark when I got stuck in one question and then repeated the Wenger quote in my head to proceed. Could not believe I was solving like I was. I hope to a non existent God that all this doesnt turn out to be waffle/hype.
Overall.. Chala gaya ab agli fight. Will be looking to do something about that soon. Meanwhile, think people who have done really well in the past few years but have screwed interviews for some reason need to get started on reading books.

Ciao.

Atonality is a condition of music in which the constructs of the music do not “live” within the confines of a particular key signature, scale, or mode. To the uninitiated listener, atonal music can sound like chaotic, random noise. However, atonality is one of the most important movements in 20th century music. After you realize the amount of knowledge, skill, and technical expertise required to compose or perform it, your tune may change, so to speak.
Here is a snapshot of my performance :-
VARC - Being my weakest section, i worked the most on VARC and successfully took my scores from 50s to 70s in the last month and was expecting to continue the same performance in CAT. But sadly, this kind of paper was never my cup of tea.
That British colonial policy passage was one of most absurd and poorly designed RCs. The other ones: Egyptian language, Google CyArk etc. were slightly easier to read but certainly not easy to solve. VA part also didn't provide any respite at all.
My Attempts- 32
Expecting anything from 35 to 60 from this section.
LRDI -'Set selection is the key'. Yes this might sound cliche, but this was the key to my decent outing in this section. I tried to master the sorcery of 'set selection' in last few months and it totally paid off.
I honestly didn't find this section tough at all. Mainly, because of set selection and the fact (or luck) that i didn't get stuck in any set (unlike mocks). Was able to attempt 6 sets properly.
Attempts- 24 (23 legit, 1 guess)
Expecting 60-65
QA - My companion since the start of the season. As i always get 3-4 wrong, i always try to maximize the attempts to offset the negatives. Followed the same approach in the paper and attempted 30 questions.
Have found 3 wrongs yet, as per the discussions. Although 2 more attempts would've been ideal, but overall, not disappointed with the section.
Attempts - 30
Expecting 75
Now, Verbal score will determine where my %ile would be heading. But honestly, not disappointed with this performance.
Will be looking forward to calls and interviews :)
Someone remember the answers of sunita and ragini set in slot 2?

Hi everyone, keeping in mind this year's VARC section in CAT, can you guys tell me what I should be reading from now to be at par with the level required for CAT? Any sources, journals, editorials, or articles which you have studied would also be of massive help to me, since VARC is the trickiest part of CAT in my opinion. I feel reading the newspaper everyday is not enough to augment our preparation and I am looking forward to inputs from your side.
