Hi
Calling all applicants for Case western weatherhead school of management.
I have an admit for Fall 2012 ..hence would like to catch up with puys planning to apply to case western this fall....
Any body else who got an admit

Hey...

I am a fall 2011 MBA student at weatherhead...let me know if you guys have any queries

Guys, I have an interview scheduled with them this week. Deborah Bibb is going to interview me. Can someone help with the expected interview questions? Any tips and general guidance? Thanks!

@locoforim

Study what website says about design and sustainiaiblity things...get ready for some behavioral/experiential questions....get ready for such type of question....have you ever eperienced....and what have you done?

Make sure you highlight that you have done you study...you know the school...its better if you can say i contacted xyz person and got the insight...

check out old posts from previous years...get the questions...mostly they dont change

@vaiarrm okay thanks..i have already gone through the previous threads and based on them i think they are going to ask

why mba
why now
why this school
opinion on integrated curriculum etc.

i guess you are a current student..can you share some insights on people from weatherhead who have gone into digital media?

there are couple of students from my batch who have come from this sector and want to continue....as such I dont have any knowledge about this sector...so cant help you much...but if you have specific questions let me know i will try to get the ans from those ppl

can you put me in touch with someone please? someone who has taken marketing as a concentration and plans to pursue a career in digital media

@vaiarrm....As u r a current student..Can u throw some light on MBA Program at case w.r.t faculty,Jobs and Networking Opportunities...
I have learnt through various Previous posts that Cleveland may not be such a good location..DO u feel such...

Also what do u feel about the ROI..
I have around 3.5 years work ex in Indian IT company ..so it will be around 4(3.by the time i join Case...

So how good is case an option in such scenarios...

How satisfied are u with case?
And since its a pretty expensive school...What kind of scholarship generally puts one in a comfortable position considering the fact the the rest of money has to borrowed...

Hi locoforiim

I have an interview with case western on 13th Feb. I guess by now your's should have got over. Can you help me out with your exp in the interview and questions please.

Also share your profile.

Mine is -
GMAT - 600
Exp - 4
Industry - IT
Majors - Health Insurance

Jobs/Internship are tough to get until you network and sometimes this gets tough. But college provides many opportunities for networking and if you are able to use career management office to fullest I don't believe there will be any problem.

Being an international student you definitely have to put extra effort. You should know what you want to be and thats they only thing that will help you get internship/job.

Most of the faculties are good and approachable...I did not have any problem with any faculties...they are very helpful...

How much am I satisfied? Its very subjective...I could just say WSOM is great...but if you have a choice between Cleveland and Chicago or any other top cities...go for the top cities...

@raybray yes i had my interview..GMAT score and number of years for experience is the same as urs but my industry is digital media..ques which were asked were
why a degree now?
if u were to wake up tomorrow morning with a skill which u currently dont have, what wd it be?
challenges which u have faced?
any initiative which u have taken?
which schools have u chosen and why?

basically i spoke a lot on my own only so i think my interviewer got a clear sense of my goals and personality..be sure to research well on the school.....

all the best for your interview!

@variram.....Can u tell me approximately per year living expenses , expenses on books and expenses other than tuition fees.....Also for the current batch of 2012...the placement statistics..

It would be a great help.....

I got an admit from case western today with 40% scholarship!!!!
but they have hiked the fees to almost $50K... thats an insane increase....

Got admit from CASE, but no information on aids. @raybray did you get any mail regarding scholarship ??

@capricious2012

Living expenses > its not that costly....

Most of the costs pertains to heating cost during winter....we had a mild winter this time so it was cheap...apart from heating costs rest all is cheap and manageable...

Apart from tution fees, plan for atleast $400 per semester on books and other stuffs (unless you get in touch with a nice senior who can advise you what to buy and what not to, which of course I can)

My advise - if you are sure to come here...get in touch with someone from my batch...this will really help you a lot when you come here..

Placement - Its tough but not impossible....i dont have the stats...it all depends how many contacts you build AFTER YOU DECIDE TO JOIN WEATHERHEAD...you should start networking the day you decide to come here....

@raybray

What is the tution fees???? coz website has the same info that we have
