I have observed that there is no thread for Fall 2012 applicants for Univ of Minnesota, Carlson, hence starting one. Is there no one applying to this school for this fall??:o. Anyway I have just submitted my application. Puys who have applied , applying or received an admit please come forward!!. Also it could be great if any seniors are here from Carlson School of Management. Could help clear some doubts I have regarding the school. 😃

I have also applied to Smith, McCombs, Krannert and Tepper. Got an admit to Smith. No idea about others who are interested in Carlson. In fact, I have been searching for the thread.

Wow! Congrats on your admit to Smith. Yea I haven't decided on the date for the interview yet. Mostly will be scheduling it by next week or so. Anyway keep us puys posted on any updates.

I have applied to Carlson for the first deadline still waiting for the Feb 15th decision date and when i called up and asked them about my decision they informed that I am admitted to the Carlson program 
but no official mail as yet should get it on 15th. As of now, I have an admit from Rotman -Toronto and a few wait-lists.

So, they don't announce it before the official date? My concern is that I have applied for Feb 1st deadline and the official date for the result its April 15th and its late.

What can you say about the program based on your research. Though I have not researched much, the curriculum on the college website looks more like a general MBA(I can see very less scope for electives). I am actually looking for an MBA which can be customized to fit into the IT sector. Your opinions and comments are appreciated.

I just received an official mail about my admit.... I actually had my interview on Jan 6th and it was kind of blind interview so the interviewer had not seen my profile. The questions were similar to any other admissions interview and mostly concentrated on the why MBA,why Carlson, Short-term and long-term goals,leadership initiative,teamwork,typical workday,if there was anything that you want me to tell to Ad-com etc... it was a cool conversation and lasted around 30 mins with Jennifer Furhman.

Guys, I have been hearing some negative comments about placements for international students at Carlson. As most of them are not concrete sources, I do not wish to jump to conclusions. Any info regarding this aspect from your research?

The interview was taken by Peter Woxland. Nothing suprising in the interview.. intro, why MBA, why Carlson, long term and short term goals, what next after MBA, what other schools have you applied for, any questions for us... standard stuff. It lasted for abt 45 mins and no information regarding the decision(din't strike me, so dint ask). ATB for urs.
