well I ve just been here for 3 months now, but till now, its going great... the class strength is pretty small (in our class its just 72 ppl) but its got a good mix of ppl from different background ... the second years are really helpful and the atmosphere is great .. its a very casual place without any distinction or formality within or between classes ...

A small query

Carlson site says last date to deadline is Dec1

so if I submit my application by end of october.. will it be processed only after deadline or will it help me getting an interview(if considered) earlier.

Work Ex : 3 year in IT/Networking (Cisco Systems)
Good EC's in Sports.
Average Acads.

I am planing to apply to Carlson for R2.

What to do you think are my chances considering my low score ?

Carlson is highly ranked school (Ranked 28 in BW). So with just 3 yrs work exp, and 660 GMAT it might be difficult. I also have the same srore but 9+ yrs of work exp in IT.

I am also applying for the Dec 1st deadline.

Hi Guys,

I opened an account for Carlson MBA application.
It seems they have only one essay requirement with word limit of 750 word :

Why are you interested in pursuing an MBA at the Carlson School of Management?
What do you feel makes you a strong candidate for the program? How will you contribute to the MBA Program overall?

Seems a little odd. Generally MBA colleges have minimum 3-4 different essay reqs.
Also for Fall 2010 application they had requirement for 4 essays.

Am I missing something here ? Or is this really the case for Fall 2011

Hi Neerja,

Yes the school is really strong for marketing. In fact I would even say it is the strongest in terms of club activities and recruitment. Not many IT companies come to school though. But I could probably check and let you know if you need the exact statistics. Mail me or call me if you need more info. I've sent you a PM with my id.
