Hello,

My Name is Siddharth. I am 23 years of age and is currently working in Bangalore for an E-retailing website. Its been an year now since I have been working here and I like the company and the growth prospects. While working in this company I have developed a good interest in retail industry. I also have interest in marketing and sales sector. Currently I am only a graduate in Bachelor of commerce. I want to study more, however, a bit confused about which degree to go for.

I am not really willing to leave my current company. Though my job profile is more or less customer service and I am planning to shift to a different team. By god grace I might get into the retail team. I am not sure that whether I should go for a correspondence course or a regular degree. Whichever thing I choose, I want to do something related to retail and marketing/ sales sector.

I have given CAT twice, but didn't score good, so decided to start working. Now I have experience of almost 2 years, I would like to start thinking about my qualifications.

Not a studious guy but would really like to work hard now.

12th std - 64%
B.COM - 60%

So my main questions are:

1. Should I go for a correspondence course of say one year and work simultaneously?
2. Should I prepare for this years competitive exams?
3. Should I go for a correspondence course in marketing or retail and then after an year prepare for CAT also?

A bit confused. Any help will be appreciated

Thanks,
Siddharth
