We at Department of Management Studies (DMS, IIT Delhi) under the SIDBI program and Healthcare Innovation and Technology Lab (HIT Lab) cordially invite you to participate in the M-Health Business Plan Competition -2012.

The competition is an exciting platform for students from across the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) network to develop business plans showcasing healthcare information communications technology (ICT) products that provide quality and reliable healthcare at reasonable costs yet can turn into highly profitable and sustainable business ventures.

The aim of the business plan is to bring out innovative mobile tools for patient diagnostics, treatment, prevention, or disaster management/surveillance that is both novel and self sustainable. We aim at harnessing the entrepreneur in you through identifying and recognizing ideas and technology that can change tomorrows healthcare industry.

HIT Lab Healthcare Innovation and Technology Lab an organization dedicated to improving the global healthcare system by researching, teaching and publishing innovative, cost-effective technological methods and other tools. A cross-disciplinary, public health technology research group, HITLab focus on a range of approaches including supporting access to information and services, and empowering patients with transformative clinical self-care technologies.

SIDBI- Small Industries Development Bank of India- The SIDBI program is a constituent of the Interdisciplinary Program in Entrepreneurship, which is the delivery mechanism, fashioned at IIT Delhi for intensifying Entrepreneurship Awareness with engineering and science students and faculty and to continuously upgrade the level of professionalism in this area.

Awards Include:
1st Prize: $1500 + Certificates 2nd Prize: $1000 + Certificates 3rd Prize: $500 + Certificates

To register for the event, Teams must send a 250 word idea summary that details how their novel mobile app/device will improve daily or disaster based patient care along with the name of the team, bios for each team member, contact person, IIT and department by 21st Nov, 2011. Registration and abstract submission: 21st Nov, 2011
Announcement of stage 1 results: 28th Nov, 2011
Full plan submission: 12th Dec, 2011
Announcement of stage 2 results: 23rd Dec, 2012
Final presentation: 12th Jan, 2012
The final presentation will be held at Vishwakarma Bhavan, DMS IIT Delhi.
