The BAT is a global, standardized online exam developed in collaboration with financial professionals, recruiters and academics.
The BAT is both comprehensive and objective, covering a range of subjects including finance, verbal skills, math, global markets, investment banking and other relevant topics.
Designed for undergraduates and recent graduates who are interested in a financial job or internship, the BAT tests the skills and knowledge that matter most to employers.
THE TALENT SEARCH
Students' BAT scores are maintained anonymously in the Bloomberg Institute Talent Search, where employers can search through student profiles utilizing a customized search feature. Search categories include university, year of graduation, area of study, country, gender and competency in BAT subjects. Employers can connect with students via the Talent Search regarding financial employment opportunities.

@caterpilar BAT is being recognized globally by all major financial institutions. More than 7500 students have already been connected with recruiters for full time job and internship opportunities and this number is increasing rapidly. Once you take the BAT, your score would be made available to more than 20000 recruiters, globally.

@caterpilar Yes, Non students can also appear for BAT if the institute authorities where the test is being held agree. Also BAT is periodically held at Bloomberg Office in Mumbai and interested candidates can appear for the test there.

The global average is 49 and students are encouraged to have above average scores. Recruiters have different parameters to identify talent and they would select specific sections depending on their requirement to identify candidates. Eg: If an organisation looks for Entry level Analysts, they may be interested in candidates with strong economics, maths, Verbal and Analytical sections. These criteria's are subject to change as per company requirements and policies.
@BATIndia , I have a score of 71.95 in bat , i gave it in 2011 .But i have never received any calls from any of the recruiters . Am i missing something?

@abhimukh19 : The number of recruiters have increased from what they were in 2011 and so have your chances. You have a decent score. Please make sure that your BAT profile is complete and updated. Also, please check that your scores are visible to employers and you haven't chosen to be out of searchable database.You can also upload your resume if you haven't done the same yet.

@namkinger : There is no limit to the number of attempts. However, only the first attempt is free for the candidates. The candidate can appear for the test once in a calendar month. I hope that solves your query!

@kushdw : BAT is not a certification course. BAT is a tool for self assessment. It analyzes student into 11 different sections- both financial and non financial skills.

@Neha_T BAT has been designed to identify candidates for entry level positions. This test is open to both Under Graduate and Post Graduate students across streams/specializations. A lot of Engineering students have given the test across the world and have benefited in terms of Assessment as the sections like maths, verbal ability, Analytics, etc., test their aptitude and also benefit in terms of Recruitment.
