hi guys
my friend just gave gd pi at birla
said their infrastructure is top class
bout process, it started with a 10 min essay. Topic was " young students role in resurgence of india.. or something like that. Then was the contemporary GD. Topic was something like "business people are selfish or sumthin like taht. Sorry again coz didnt get complete info coz the network was not there in greater noida. when he reaches home, i wil ask him soon. Didnt ask him the no. of people in it so sorry for that, will get in touch with him again n give the info. Then it was int, they had lotsa GK questions like what is equinox, and questions bout his work ex. Meanwhile bout placements, wot institute people say it has averaged around 3 this year, but students inf says its hovering around 2.4-2.5.
Thats it for now, will pour in more info as soon i get it.

my gd/pi at bimtech on 20th at 9.00 a.m. .Any one there at the same batch. Well plz guys.. post ur experiences.. it would be a great help. Like what is GD/topic. and what type of q are asked in inteview. Is there any essay writting also.

hi all,
had my gd/pi yest...it all started with an okayish presentation abt the insti...then we were asked to write an essay on " as a young student i am the hope for a resurgent india"...were given 10 mins for that. gd followed then...there were 15 paople in our grp n the topic was " y is indian talent boomeranging back home?"...it was a 30 min thing in total as in 20 mins for the discussion and in the last 10 mins each member has to summarise for abt a min....
interviews were cool...they ask u for ur essay right in the beginning...read a bit i ges...tho dint read mine ...i dont really think they grilled u too much on anything specific...each panel had 2 members...in my cae there was teh dean and the placement incharge(this one knows abt IT so guys be careful)....dean sounded colourful and added unnecessary jokes( tells me i look much better in real than the snap on the form and was i in bad mood while getting it clicked!!)...i wasnt grilled on the acads much...just the general stuff...
and thats about it....n ya guys do prepare urself for ques like y bimtech and not some xyz insti....and wich other instis have u applied to etc etc...maybe coz they wanna figure out how many will actually stick to them even after getting selected..
the infra at bimtech is quite good...a good place to be....and the best part that they are kinda transparent abt their placements....87% till date ....n last year even lesser...the general opinion out there was that the instiu is gonna shine bigtime in the next 2 years....
anyhow...wish u all good luck!!

Thanks karunmalik . i was shocked to see that i didn't got a call on 732 . i have mailed them the form very late just before the last date . i might also be receiving the calls soon .




hi.i think we both r in a similar situation.i scored 737 marks,submitted the form on last date and still waiting for the call.only problem is i am not in delhi,really worried for the reservation.

did u get NIILM- MBA or NIILM-PGDBM(AICTE) , NIILM PGDBM is better than NDIM PGDBM,
Even i have call from both places, but one of my friend studying in NDIM told me to join NIILM -PGDBM course, i gave my gd/pi in amity and have n BIMTECH on 21st, even i have very few chances and i am confused too.......

well i had my GD/PI today at BIMTECH..

All started well.. There were approximately 200-250 students. We all were givenb our GD and interview panel number on entering the campus. Then the essay thing came in.. The topic was --" Call centers have ruined the social fabric of our society" about 10 mins were given to write on the topic. It was followed byu the presentation on the institue. Some gopus were sent for the gd and some for the interview. I had my interview first.

Q. Tell us about urself? ABout the family and business? Y science then Mba. Y MBA ? Grilled on acads... didnt know the statistics lacked there:huh:.. Checked y not other options... and GK

it was followed the GD.. the topic was" MNC has tropicalised their salaried"

Welll GD was really vague.. no one actually contributed to it.. We were given 1 min each to summarize.. individually

I think i got a little chance there :-x:sad::confused: . Can some one guide me for other options.. thanx do post ur views and those who have little hope what are the alternatives ur looking out

Hi everyone !!!

Here is my GD/PI encntr wid BIMTECH...

The day startd wid reg...den 10 mins essay...on "Call Centers have ruined the Social fabric"...den there was a presentation by some snr students..it was an ok kinds....den v were sent for GD...acc. to our allotted group no.s with a snr student...the GD panel consisted of just one teacher and that snr student... The topic was " Creativity cannot be channelized with the sense of urgency " It created a fish mkt...It was fro 15 mins...den the most horrible thng happnd...that snr student startd askng everyone some questions...It appeared as if v were giving our PI also there....like why shd I select u ...what r ur qualities...Tell me about urself...but as far as I know such questions are never part of ur GD process...nyways..

den v were sent for the PI....It was OK kinds...like Which school,college....
why MBA ? whch speclztn....
den dey strdt grillng on HR....how working capital is affecting our economy...what r the effects of globalization on our economy...give a name of a celibrity who is gud in HR ????

i got 97.13pctile in mat feb2005 with a comosite score of 729.I filled bimtech as one of the 5 colleges i filled in the mat form.now,shall i wait for bimtech to send me a form or shall i myself send them the application bcoz the last date for submission at bimtech is 18 march.please help me........

U have to get the application form n send it...bimtech is not gonna send the form to u.

Amity is best in MAT, if you opt for their PGDBM course (Intake I think 150 studs). Alliance generally sends call letters to any and everyone (starting from 40 percentile). The college as I have heard from the seniors there, is not very good. Pathetic staff and bad placements. I am not sure but just only one course their is worth taking (if any), but still I wont recommend u that. BIMTECH is good but have avg. placements and avg. staff. The whole institute is controlled by their seniors only (as they have told me). BIMTECH staff are reluctant to take much of the pain which the students take to establish themselves.

I applied t BIMTECH with my dec MAT score. U have to purchase the form urself.They are not gng to send it as AMITY ppl do...so go and purchase it b4 the last date comes...Best of luck..
