one thing i know about tirichy is that it is Hot!

there is no winter at all and summer temperatures touch 42-43 degrees! :wow:

Bim is very famous in Tamil nadu; people swear by it and u get an Mba degree! (not pgdbm)

If u looking for some fun along with ur mba prog u aint getting any in Bim!

temples and more temples and heavy dose of idli and sambar is assured in Bim!

so my honest opinion is If quality management education is what is desired then Bim is the place ! if u looking for some fun along with the programme then believe me u will cry ur heart out in Bim !

I am from Mumbai i am pretty sure city boys cant live there! :huh:

hey i have never been to chennai. so sundeep wud u mind tellin me where to put up in chennai(i mean the name of the near-by hotels) if its possible for u. n i also intend to visit the institute once my gd/pi is over so it will be really kind of u if u cud tell me how long will it take to reach Trichy from Chennai n wat r the transport options available. i plan to reach chennai on 20th.

n yes raghav, my gd too is at IFMR... 22nd April, 2:00 pm slot. are u too from chennai? i wud really want to practise gd with you people.

hope 2 catch up with ya guys soon. anyone else from calcutta goin to chennai?

hey folks,
There is raised eyebrows due to delay by BIM to come up with the shortlisted candidates.Professionalism of a reputed b-skool is at stake?Also dubious distinction of the skool is thickenin!:huh: At this juncture i wud like to bring certain facts to the notice of this esoteric junta.....

BIM Average salary around 4.5 lacs
IMI ''' '' 4.7 lacs
GIM NIRMA KJS '' '' 4.2 lacs
All in all i gather that most of these skools i.e., BIM NIM GIM KJS NIRMA lures recruiters who can shell out 4 - 4.5 for freshers.
But the critical point is:
GIM KJS NIRMA - High probability to get placed in mumbai(almost 90 %)
IMI shud i say where one wud be?
BIM 95 % in chennai n Bangalore
So cost of living is almost 50 % reduced if one comes out of BIM ,which implies payback period is short,which again implies one get out of the debt quickly!!!!!
Is it not good to have a feeling that one can get out of the debts quickly?
still i agree that ppl miss chicks n njoyment here.still future managers r xpected to b pliable...
if its one thing that nags me...then its for Xposure...
overall its u ppl's call......
this is a general msg n not intented to hurt anyone...
once again i say folks dont rather wake up!!1

dude, if ur w/l in LIBA, u will get in most prob. I know atleast 3 dudes who will not take it up, I met them at my GD. And a couple of dudes at pg itself. so about 5 ppl I know will not go to LIBA.

I never applied to GIM ..only BIM and not keen on this also..cat 2005 me thinks is up for grabs!

called BIM about rescheduling dates... BIM gd/pi dates can be rescheduled.. they are holding gd/pis for seven days starting from 20th in chennai.. you can also change venue to thiruchirapalli... but the person who attended the call asked me to call up after 2 today... lets see...

In all the four counts you mentioned and in other criteria too Nirma scores much higher than BIM. Go for Nirma any day. BIM WAS a good institute, but gradually loosing its glory.

I think many of us are outraged as far as the night-life & the chicks are concerned.................. c'mon guys'n'gals there's a lot more over the night-life in a B-SCHOOL. What we should be concerned at this point of time is the quality of students & the entire environment out there coz we are definately not going there for regular partying after going through such a rigorous selection process and putting such a huge amount of money at stake.
Moreover PARTYING at night is not the only source of enjoyment..................in fact those are the obsolete methods we wil explore new methods of creating EXITEMENT & FUN in ISOLATION

So everybody............cheer-up
And lets put in our best to make this call to a final conversion.

contact the admissions office at bim. i m sure they will b able to help u out.it is not compulsory that u send the form by the 15th if i have read the form correctly.it specifies that if not possible in any circumstances to send the form u can mail them at [email protected] anyway call them up at once to be certain.
