I have been in IT for nearly 7 years.
Though I have been a very good employee to my employer and recognised, just wondering that I am a 7 years experienced guy now and apart from my technologies which I worked on , there is lots in in IT which I have to learn.

Need sugestion on the below point for me(and may be to similar needy puys):

way to update knowledge about whats happening in the competing employer's group(same technology).
I keep updating myself about industry happenings from newspapers and Networking through friends.But strongly feel that there is more that I should know.
