ive average acads and am a fresher(Btech) what should i expect in PI?

Are the cut-offs pre decided ? i mean, r they fixed based on the difficulty level of paper, irrespective of number of applicants or r they decided based on the scores of applicants,i mean, is it like certain ratio ?

i guess sectionals must be some predecided marks, like atleast 5 in gk, which was quite manageable in this paper, people having gk level below this as it wont be a very good choice in gd/pi, whts the point giving them a call??

I am getting a score of 85.25... with only 11.25 in VA...
I am sure other sections are above cutoff....

Balanced sectional, decent overall score. U hv very good chances. Last yr cutoffs for SIBM wr ard 83-84. Since sectionals are involved, cutoffs r not expected to shoot up too high.
Besties n keep ur fingers crossed :smile:


Then is it almost established that the cutoffs will shoot up? Was last years paper a lot tougher than this years paper? (Because, the number of questions this year was less and there is a hike in the number of seats).
My overall is 81.25 with
GK: 13
VA: 19.25
LR: 35.5
QA&DI;: 13.5

Do I even stand a chance?

I m a shade worried abt the quant n LR scores... will i make it thru the cut offs of these sections? Please do tell me.

Hi,
I have got a SNAP score of 95.25 with satisfactory sectionals and i am expecting call from both SIBM and SCMHRD. I am aware that SIBM interview process is in the first week of Feb and SCMHRD is jsut after that ( or may be coincides not sure).
I am working here at Bangalore and it might be lil tough to travel twice to Pune in a span of not even a week. Also, i need to minimize the number of leaves that i take. Thought we dont get to choose our interview slot, will it be a little flexible.
Will i be able to attend the last day batch of SIBM and the first day batch of SCMHRD? So that i can avoid a bit of travel and leaves?

@ Shubham,

As you are a fresher, so in most of the PI's majority of the questions will be regarding your acads and a few on the general stuff (like Why MBA? ; Where do you see urself im 5 years from now; all gyan stuff etc).

This is in case you are not the ones who have the ability to mould the interview according to themselves.

So, be prepared with at least one or two subjects from your graduation, as you are a B.Tech be ready for questions on your project as well (in case you get someone very technical in the group) and in case you have a case like mine, where you had decent scores till 10th and then you f****d up big time, be ready to answer questions like what happened to your scores.

Assuming you have atleast one job in hand, be ready to answer the questions like why not job and why MBA; Don't you think you should get work-ex before joining MBA and stuff like that......

I guess I have covered a lot of questions.... If i have missed a few, pls add them on the thread or if i remember them later, will post on the thread again.

Hey guys the SCMHRD results are out...
the lowest score for a call is around 65. as written by a fellow PG.
Also another guy with 70 has got a call with an awesome profile though.
that means this score is in top 4000 of all the SNAP takers.
since by rule, SCMHRD takes top 4000 students among SNAP and then scrutinizes the profiles.
so i think we have some more data to speculate SIBM cut offs....

65-70 score in SNAP is in top 4000 of all SNAP scores.
SIBM will be calling around 2000 students ....

Also can anyone tell me if the GD/PI is a one day process or not?
Last years SCMHRD thread says that some people had their interview the next day. Can it be said the same for SIBM?
