What are your comments on my verbal 10 score. will the cut off be lower than 10 in verbal??

I heard that the OA cut-off for SIBM,pune and Blore will be same..Is that true??
i presumed cut-off for Blore will be on the lower side as its a new campus..

Hi Seniors,

I know it would only be a speculation at this point of time, but would like to know approx cut-off for SIBM (open category).

Also does the institute have any rules for fixing the sectional cut-offs like i) candidate should attain atleast 50 percentile or ii) 33% marks in the individual sections of SNAP ?

Finally (could not avoid asking this ;-)) abt my chances in getting a call with total of 84.25 and break-up of

English - 15.5
Quant & DI - 23.25
GA - 25
LR - 20.5

hey buddies

i just learned here in pagalguy about the sectional cut offs for SIBM....nowhere in their question paper or their prospectous have they mentioned about sectional stuff.....and it seems to me like no one outside pagalguy is aware of this fact...i mean maybe its too late now..but this isnt somethind a responsiblle organisation will do...information should be passed unbiased to all the applicants, not just to few of them...I will be obliged if any SIBM official or admission personnel answers my query..

The fact tht SIBM will consider sectional cut-offs is mentioned in the prospectus ('cause you missed it doesn't mean tht it was not there). Also during our official events like CWS, it was informed.

can anyone shed some light on the gd pi process of sibm, am all set for the call, just need to prepare for it

I can give you the GD/PI process of last year.

--> You started with registeration.

--> Then the certificates etc. were checked.

--> Then we were asked to write an essay. (The topic in my case was "Right To Information - Boon or Bane" )

--> Then we were taken to a group task, which was followed by a case study.

--> & in the end, i had my interview, Which lasted for only 5 minutes(shortest interview of all of my interviews and i thought my SIBM dream was over, thankfully it was not to be)

thanks for the valueable info, but what i exactly meant was, how should i go about preparing for gd/pi??? have good knowledge about current affairs, work on my acads, abstacr questions,etc?? will i have to fill form before coming to pune, like other colleges ask...

i hv 6+ months of wrk-ex in a reputed IT MNC as an SAP-ABAP technical consultant....

can anybody advise as to vether dis SNAP score n profile is worthy enuf of getting an SIBM call dis tym???cos lst tym i just lost it by 0.25......

but u didn't mentioned ur individual sectional scores???

@ bhansalisid,

As i mentioned in my earlier post, you have to go through a case study instead of a GD, so having the knowledge of current affairs doesn't help directly but they will surely help you indirectly 'cause you can quote them during your case studies. (My take is knowing something always helps )

Also, during interview, there are some questions which will be asked most of the time e.g Why MBA? where do u see urself after 5 years from now? and all that usual stuff.

For freshers, be assured you will be asked questions on your acads & work-ex people will be asked questions regarding their work profile and the company they worked for. So be prepared for tht as well.(freshers and people with less than 1 year of work-ex be thoroughly prepared with atleast 1 subject from your graduation).

Regarding forms, you will know about it when the shortlist comes out.

this is about sectional cut offs

1. will they be on a percentage basis for each section (like 30-40% for a section )
2. will they be on the %ile basis , like how many ppl are ahead of you in that section .

ne idea on this .
