I have given SNAP and want to apply to SIBM, SCMHRD. When I called up the Chennai TIME offfice, was informed that forms have been exhausted. Heard that there is also a facility to apply to SIBM, SCMHRD through debit card facility, . Searched exhaustively for the link in SIBM site to no avail. Could you please put here the link of online payment to SIBM
I had already queried [email protected] and [email protected] , the latter responded and I have registered for SCMHRD. There seems to be a serious prob with sibm email id.. 'coz always the mail is not delivered saying "inbox of recepient is full" :satisfie:

Hi

The SIBM application form requires the SNAP registration form to be sent with it. The SNAP website does not display the registration form anymore.

Could you please let me know where could I get the registration form or if any other alternatives are present(like sending a copy of the admit card instead).

Last year it was approx 88 for general category, approx 63 for SC and approx 38 for ST.

You can show the appointment letter during GD/PI since we allocate marks to experienced candidates.

Hello Sir,

I am working in a software company and have 16 months work-ex till date. Do I need to show any sort of work-ex document during the gd/pi? If i need to show them, then i can get it only when i resign, and this is what i don't want to do now as u never know what's going to be the result. Is there any other solution to this problem.?

Hi,
You can give a copy of your admit card at SNAP, it has your registration number. As far as choice of centers go, you can give your final choice during GD/PI.

I have purchased the SIBM application form from a branch of IMS. Along with the filled in form of SIBM we need to send the registration form of SNAP also. What exactly is this SNAP registration form? Is it necessary? The form that I filled in during SNAP registration is no longer available in my account on the website.:wow: Also the brochure says that the Preference Sheet provided along with the snap application form must be filled, giving the choice of campus. If I tick only the SIBM pune option, and I dont get a seat in the Pune campus, does that make me ineligible for the SIBM Bangalore campus also, as I have not selected 'Both' as my preference. Other than preference sheet and the snap registration form should any other documents ( i.e. Snap payment advice form, snap admit card etc.,) be attached.

Please do clarify my doubts at the earliest, Thank you,

Firstly i would like to thank you for answering all our queries so well and promptly.Fortunately, even though i did not know about the sectional cutoffs i have managed pretty well in covering a decent number of questions from all the sections.I really enjoyed solving the paper a lot, unlike cat where i was about to start crying after seeing the paper.I will be purchasing the prospectus today from ims.I dont know whether i will make the cut offs or get a call from sibm but even then your gesture of answering our queries is appreciated .

Also since i see that the Cuttoff this year will be well over 120...excluding SIBM which college should i apply to...or should i include SIBM in my application list...

Hi,
As of now we do not have any student exchange program with any foreign university, but we are working on that (incidently foreigners come over to know more about the India story :)). If your company allows you to take 2 years of leave without pay and if you love the job, please do so. The laterals are rocking here with packages starting at 10+. Experience certificate is a must as you will be allocated marks in the admission process.

Can you please elaborate upon whether SIBM has any student exchange programs (for internships ) to foreign univs as it il be of optimum advantage fr a student to intern in a foreign country ? plus Incase for a person who is already working , should he/she leave the job rightaway or shpuld go on a leave w/o pay once admitted to SIBM? As one might wish to join the same company one was working fr initially ?

Plus please let me know more on the laterals process and the packages offered (I want u to answer this) .Offcourse I'm nt judging SIBM by the placements but they are indeed a crucial part of any b school , right sir ?

logically speaking if SIBM is having sectional cuttoff and and i did not attempt 1 question in english...it would make no sense in applying to SIBM ....Right....
Secondly .... there are many good colleges in SNAP group...and i dont know which should be my top 3...
also SNAP is going to be very difficult this year.....with so many positive feedbacks ,....i see that cutoff this year to be well over 100...so i have to be specific in applying to colleges within my range...
That is my new strategy...

First...no Blames to Prof.Pranab...if he would not have been here...we wouldnt even no there is a sectional cuttoff..until the results were out...Direct benifit...Saved Rs.1200/-of SIBM form....

Every competitive exam has mentioned clearly on the Question Paper itself that there will be sectional cutt-off...but i guess SNAP must have sent a telepathic signal ..."guys only SIBM will have sectional cuttoff...so u have to have 2 Strategy while answering the same paper...first answer all sections to cross sectional cutoff for SIBM...then answer all questions so as to maximize your score for rest of colleges..."
Well i guess we all should have purchased SIBM prospectus well before hand....
Hey but in that logic...we might have missed other important details..So lets purchase all the Prospectus before we miss out other important details....
I guess SNAP also missed out mentioning that...Pls purchase all form before hand...we dont mention any important details here...

Sir I just wanted to ask you whether SIBM considers work experience ( and the overall profile) of the candidate before giving a call for GD/PI.
I mean,for example, if a fresher gets a call at abt 85 marks, can a guy with a wrk ex. of 2+ yrs in India's leading Software Company expect to get a call at abt 80-82?

Please advice.

Dear Sir,

I have one doubt in filling up the form. I have applied for SIBM through online credit card and i have received the prospectus and the application form. In the prospectus it mentions that in the application filling procedure we need to send the duly filled application form along with registration form, but i have not received any registration form since I applied through online credit card. I have only the RR number .
And Sir, In SIBM in the admisision procedure it mentions we need to send the Preference of the campus ie either Bangalore or Pune but there is no form in my application form or prospectus to fill it.

Kindly advice me on these two issues, so that i can send the fully filled form with all the formalities

I did fairly well in SNAP and hope to get 80+ overall.But I was unaware of the sectional cutoff thing, as it was neither mentioned anywhere in the brochures, nor in the Exam paper itself. Due to this, in order to maximise my scores, i almost attempted all the questions in the Verbal, LA and GK sections, but touched only 5-6 questions in Quants. and now i sadly discover that there r going to be sectionals inSIBM.I really feel cheated. this thing should have been communicated in advance, or at least in the Exam paper. One more thing. Given my extremely less attempts in Quants (5-6), do you still think I shud apply to SIBM? Since, SCMHRD is not considering sections, I'm applying there as well. Please reply.

I am Aditya Jindal, a student of Punjab Engineering College from Chandigarh.
I have heard about the accomplishments of your institute and I would have to
say that I am pretty much impressed.
Sir, I applied for the snap test and I would say that I did pretty good in it.
But, i made a blunder that is I filled the ovals in the response/answer sheet with pencil,
although it was very clearly written that they were to be filled with a pen only.
so, I would like to know if the checking machine would read my answers on not.
Because sir, depending upon your reply only, would I be able to know if I should
fill the forms of the colleges under snaptest or not.
P:S. Looking for your reply asap.
